Lying staff, overpriced and run-down
This is not a hotel - it is a holiday camp for spoilt backpackers who are taking jobs away from Malaysians. I checked in with Leo (Nigerian-American) at reception who quoted me a higher rate (110) than I overheard the owner (100) giving later on. I was promised that food was available and even spoke to the "chef" a German hippy type. I was promised that dinner would be at 7 pm and that I should arrive in reception around then. I duly did after finding a room that was not too dirty (most of them had dead insects all over the floor etc) but this is not surprising as there is only one Malaysian lady employed to do the cleaning as the backpackers refuse to do it. I was persistantly told by Leo that my food was "coming soon" and this carried on until around 9 pm; I even went to see the chef in the kitchen who ran away! By this time another kind guest took pity on me and offered me some of her bread and cheese and tomatoes which was an absolute lifesaver as I was starving by then (and I have ME). The food was finally ready at 10 pm and they seemed puzzled that I didn't want it. The next day I decided to complain to the owner who said that he and his "volunteers" never ate before 10pm. So if you are a guest you don't matter to him one bit. The pool was grungy and discoloured and there were electrical wires and a socket plugged in next to the pool which was live. I have been travelling for over 45 years and this is the worst experience I have had anywhere. I tried to get a refund but hey this is Malaysia. DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO SUPPORT A BUSINESS THAT DOES NOT EMPLOY LOCAL PEOPLE MERELY SPOILT LYING MILLENNIAL BACKPACKERS AND HAS A RUDE OWNER.

This is a very old resort located in the middle of the island. Not well maintained but provide privacy for those who are not so choosy. You need to have a transport when staying here. Good for those who are adventurous type.

Bad Experience
This place is very far away from most attractions. It is really really really dark there. No one stays there. The rooms are quite poor. When I got in at 9pm, it was quite dirty. The toilet bowl had stains, tables were dusty, etc. They could only get to cleaning the room the next day. The pool is really sad - it probably hasn't been maintained for a long time. Try not to stay there, unless if you are desperate.

The hotel that time forgot.
We had a reservation here but did not stay in the end. The place is dilapidated. It is remote with no transport options. The toilets that we saw at reception were filthy. There were no options for food at the hotel or anywhere close by.I couldn't recommend it.

Sad
To be honest, this is the saddest hotel I've ever been to! When I told people I met along the way where would I stay, they gave me such a disgust expression and told me how the location was in the middle of no where, and many other sad stuffs. But I told myself, I'd give it a try anyway. Unfortunately, those people were right! The location was in the middle of no where, it was surrounded by jungles (well, you will be able to see tons of stars). When I first arrived at night, my friends and I were greeted by A VOLUNTEER! We asked this guy where the workers were and his response was, 'no one works here at night, so its just me and some of my volunteer friends' *EKKKK. Then we were placed on the back of the land which were nearby the jungle. When we asked to be moved to the room nearby the entrance (or any other rooms not on the back side of the hotel), the volunteer said he couldn't do anything about it. It was crappy and scary. The room was awful, the bathroom was small and not even close to be called decent. It was really really dirty like no one cleans the room. I just have to say that it was the saddest hotel room I've ever been to all my life. However, there are still good things about the hotel (room). The room is spacious you can fit probably 8 people in it and the view during the day is not scary (yet at night you can feel that it is haunted).
