Unpleasant stay
Room I paid is rm90 for standard room. The Room is small, bathroom and toilet are not attach with the room, toilet and bathroom is separately too, super inconvenience. Room separate by using partition, you can easily heard what's the room next to you is talking #Noprivacy There's no receptionist to standby at the entrance to help you for check in. You may receive call by the owner and rush you to check in or ask you to check in later cause he is not around. The most I dislike is the mattress, you can feel the spring once you lay down on the mattress. Tried all the position of my sleep but still can feel it #sleeplessnight Ask for swap to another room but need to add on another rm40. I believe in Penang rm120 I can get a much better stay. Will not come back again

Mold smelling room but friendly owner
The guesthouse runs on a key basis where guest are to lock up the main entrance at night. I got to give credit for the creativity but then the room which we had was at the staircase therefore if you talk anyone could hear you or when people coming up cause the room has a window which people could peek in to see if they really want too. I would not recommend this place if you have a better place to stay with a slightly higher budget or even at the same price of this place is offering. We had no choice for this was the cheapest we could get but on a price of RM310 for we booked a day before departing on a peak season. It is really not worth the price at all and the toilet has a mold smelling with the shower curtain which is constantly wet which is placed at the bathroom door itself meaning to say when you want to enter you got to push the curtain and it is really smelly. The bathroom was very tiny and really feels like those coffee shop toilet , we felt really dirty and icky despite had had our shower. There is no fridge , tv etc in the room which is fine . You had to ask for the password of the wifi and when you ask he would say the password is in the room but no where to be found. Other than that the owner is really friendly just the accommodation is the worst we had ever stayed regardless countless places we had been so far .

Thaipusam Holidayds
I booked a room to stay somewhere in January and told the guy i will be checking in on Thaipusam day at 2am. He said it is ok and he wil charge us from Thursday onwards and check out on Sunday. He told me to let him know when i arrived at Penang. Upon arriving in Penang i told him i will go to the temple first and then check in. He forced me to collect the keys on wednesday night 11pm and charged us for Wednesday night. He did not inform us that there is wifi and did not give us the wifi pword. My mom overheard him talking to another chinese guest on the third day of our stay. On top of that he gave us a room with a spoilt aircond. Furthermore more he told us at the last minute to check out on Saturday because the 3 nights are over....which is not what he promised earlier when i spoke to him. Please becareful before you check in here. Very dissapointing.

Creative deco theme
The deco and theme very unique..the rooms are animal theme with hardboard..toilet a bit small but the shower curtain n the wall is using animal theme..room is clean but the tv is at outside at the hallway..very convenient spot and just next door there are restaurants with variety of choices..and only few minutes away from 1st avenue walking distance..I really like the concept of this guesthouse and will come back again next time..

Did I just step into a jungle?
Cool guesthouse with creative cardboard wall decor and furniture .... I was worried my cardboard bed would collapse under our weight and bed exercise. LOL Easy access to yummy food, Komtar bus station and 20 minutes' walk to Georgetown. http://eastcoastlife.blogspot.sg/2016/07/rainhill-guesthouse-penang.html
