The check in was very smooth and professional, lady at reception was very efficient, even I thought she is at her full term pregnacy. Good job at reception!! This was not the first time I check into this hotel, past visits last few years had been very good. However this time round the room we checked in at room 0926 felt very musty, the aircon was stale, even we tried to lower temp & increase fan speed. As we only stay for a day, decided not to be too fussy to change. Breakfast at cafe was greeted by a very bubbly staff at the entrance, ummm.. thought ok we should give the hotel another chance since greeted with such warm welcome and was looking forward to breakfast Was expecting a freshly brew hot coffee which is so important to start the day, however the waitress served us both a lukewarm cup of dilulate coffe. The food was even a more disappointment, not because of food quality, as I can see very good quality ingredients were used. It is the way the Chef/ Cook at each station does it and the cleanliness at each station that was maintained!! It was a turn off, in particular the hygiene level at Fruit Juicing Stn was terrible, similarly at the Egg & Prata Stn. Eggs were overly done, Good raw steak were pan fried till dry and tough, even though asked for medium done not once but twice, raw steak and sausages and beacon that were place on plates were mixed up. If something is not done for the way the chef are preparing the breakfast at this cafe at each station and maintaining good hygiene, it can be a very turn off for guests in future.

Good hotel in Johor Bahru. Will com again.
Breakfast spread was not refurnished and the late comers didn't have that many choices
Service all the best. maybe come next trip
Nice, comfortable and friendly place to stay.
Great with big bed, enjoy the trip.
A very good hotel in JB!! about 20 minutes to legoland, but its okay because the road isn't crowded in Jb, the breakfast is really awesome!!

A different type of experience
At first glance from outside the hotel seemed a little bit run down , but the phase don’t judge a book by its cover comes into mind . Check in was smooth and the rooms were clean and tidy with soft beds . The cream on the cake was the amazing breakfast spread they served took me few days to try all the dishes . The hotel staff were well mannered and friendly . Looking forward to my next visit

A lot of positives at this property
So at first, I think I was just spoiled because I had just arrived from the Marriott Marquis Doha where the staff and service was absolutely phenomenal. The check in was ok. There weren't any upgrades available as a platinum which was a little disappointing, but that isn't a guarantee. I was tired after a red-eye flight to Singapore (and then a 2.5 hour crossing via private car to JB) and the first thing I noticed was how ridiculously hard the bed was. I mean like almost sleeping on the floor firm. Bed firmness is a personal preference, but this one wasn't to my liking. (That's why it was so surprising that many others commented on how comfortable it was) I had the chance to spend some time in the executive lounge and it is very well appointed and comfortable. Also, it's not as crowded as some others can be. They offer many different food options and while they don't have a full open bar like many others have in Asia, they do offer one type of beer, red wine, and white wine. The lounge staff were generally very good - sometimes excellent and sometimes good. The breakfast downstairs has a lot of offerings, but I didn't find the taste to be up to the level of some other Marriotts that I have been to in Asia. Again, it was perfectly fine, but it's not as good as the Marriott Tokyo or Courtyard HK. I liked the opportunity to eat at the restaurant or the lounge (which had more limited options in the AM as is typically the case). The gym was very well maintained with TVs that actually worked and the pool was kept extremely clean. The water was immaculately clean and comfortable and there was always an associate nearby to provide a towel or pick something up. Overall, my 3 days were uneventful (thats a good thing!) and while it took me awhile to get used to the firmness of the bed, the A/C worked amazingly well so I did get some sound sleep. It's very hard to get a room as cool as a generally like it, but this one was one of the best ever - especially considering the tropical climate. At the end of the day, this hotel provides an outstanding value for what it provides - modern, clean, comfortable accommodations with reliable service, good facilities, and strong wifi. I would stay here again if I had business on the JB side, but I wouldn't consider crossing the border everyday if I wanted to sightsee in Singapore everyday. (Backups can be hours long each way)

sal y
We stayed this hotel with my family two days. It was amazing. Very clean hotel with smiling stuff members. We do travel alot and this hotel has the best breakfast we ever had. If anybody complains about this hotel don’t believe. We were very happy and we already made another reservation for December. Also if you are planning to visit Singapore this is the best way. It is a better hotel more affordable and it takes 5 minutes to go to Singapore. Definitely this hotel deserves five stars. If it was possible i would give more stars.

nice room, and food, near eateries and Aon mall
I stayed for 2 nights in September, with family, nice hotel and with a good location, very near from Singapore. nearby Aon mall and many local food shop which opens at night. I like the room, hardly find that kind of big room with good facility and reasonable price. swimming pool is a bit small but sufficient for children.

Wide variety of food served
Eventhough it is a little out of from the main city center but it just take 10mins or less if you're driving from the custom immigration. The room is very spacious for 4 of u. I have 2 children 7 & 8 yrs old. The only thing i dont like the kids pool. It's just too small and plain boring. With the space they had in the area i'm sure the kids pool has plenty of room for more expansion.
