One night
This was a one night stay. The room was a chalet type room with a double room but it was very clean and well appointed. It’s five minutes from the Orangutan rehab centre. The food was excellent, it’s not exquisite food but well cooked and tasty. You eat looking out over a small lake and it’s possible that a monkey or orangutan may “pop over” from the neighbouring centre - no fences. They looked after us well and the price for the hotel and food was very reasonable. Worth staying if you are visiting the rehabilitation centre.

Great stay
A really good place to stay. We wanted to visit the Orang Utan sanctuary which is just a short stroll from the resort, really good because it means you can go back and forward get a lunchtime drink and cool down etc. We were in number 10 it was clean comfortable and just across the lake from the hotel and restaurant. The food is good and not expensive. It is so peaceful and relaxing we loved it. Staff were all very welcoming.

Great introduction to Borneo
Beautiful place to stay. Lovely lodge style rooms on the edge of the lake. Interior of rooms well appointed with everything you could want including an aerosol of mosquito spray and large umbrellas. Friendly staff with food cooked to order from a menu of both Malaysian and italian dishes. Lovely public area although the upstairs lounge was closed off. The nature trail around the gardens was not sign posted and there were no leaflets of the route available at reception, just one display board that you couldn't remember when walking around. The boardwalk and area around the lake were well maintained but going further into the grounds the paths were very uneven and poor in places.

Jungle oasis
The resort is a lovely, calming place to stay. As soon as you walk through the reception to the bar / dining area and look over the lake the peace settles on you. The villas were well appointed and very comfortable but we spent most of our time relaxing on the large couches in the communal area overlooking the lake with a cool drink within reach. The access to the orangutans and sun bears is so convenient as it is a short walk up the road. I missed having somewhere to swim but that was only a minor issue.

Beautiful Resort
We arrived really early and we expecting to have to wait to go to our room, we were going to have breakfast and go to the Orangutan Sanctuary till room was ready, but while having breakfast they said our room was ready. The rooms were really large and comfortable, my husband is an early riser and loved just sitting on the balcony. Its a 2 minute walk to the Orangutans and Sunny Bears, on the morning visit we did not see any orangutans apart from in the nursery, but one had gone for a visit to the nature resort, they had just caught her as we returned, decided to go back in the afternoon as you can re-use your ticket, got there just as it opened and went straight to the feeding area even though there was an hour to wait, there was just us 2 and another couple when 3 orangutans just came walking past it was amazing, as they left loads more came it was like our own private viewing, as more people turned up they all left, it was like they knew. In the afternoon i was really ill with a bad migraine, my husband went to ask if there was any chance of just some dry toast and explained i was ill, and they couldn't do enough, even checking i was ok when we went for something to eat later that evening. It was so relaxing sat next to the lake, watching the wildlife, just wished we'd had more time there. You will not be disappointed if you stay here, Staff are excellent, food good and rooms comfortable
