Three star hotel is good. The location superb.
All are ok .may just need to be more clean especially the bed sheets and improve the taste of the foods. Less variety is fine but improve the taste of the foods.

great spot
We had only one night here but wouldve been happy staying longer. Great breakfast and location. Rooms are nice we were just in standard rooms... no complaints however the karaoke restaurants outside the window would be annoying if you needed an early night

Good basic hotel
This hotel is well located by the harbour and in the centre of town. I was lucky enough to get a room with sea views which was quite pleasant. The rooms are fairly well presented, the bed was comfortable, shower fine, but the toilet had seen better days... could either do with a new seat or total replacement. That said, this was a cheaper hotel and I am fully aware of the wear and tear that these sorts of establishments get. The relative low investment enables them to maintain the affordable prices...however, for those of you seeking perfection, you will not find it here. There was a slight damp feel to the room, caused either by the proximity to the sea, the local climate and/or the air con, but it was tolerable. The staff was courteous and very helpful, with local info, taxi info etc. The main entrance is modern and welcoming, but the corridors are worn and a little drab, but there again, we are not sleeping in the corridors! Everywhere seemed clean and I observed this taking place. The breakfast, served in the next door restaurant, was good, the usual: cereals, fruit, toast and local noodle dishes etc. with coffee and sweet tea. Overall, served its purpose for a quick 2 night stay and visit to Sandakan and Sepilok.

Nice cosy hotel
I read bad reviews about the hotel, but give it a go for 1 night. It was totally opposite than the review, perhaps they have improved it. The customer service was superb! They are very nice and attend you properly. The room was good, with facing the beach. The location was superb as it is near to everything, restaurants, shops, public transports and also just by the ocean. However, if you stay at the lower level, it could be quite noisy during the day. The price for 1 night was affordable. Overall, I would recommend it to future/potential guests!

good value for money
Good location, clean hotel facing the sea and nearby shopping mall and restaurants. The staff was super-friendly and helpful. Clean and functional rooms. Good buffet breakfast. I would suggest to book rooms with sea view as people on the back road are really noisy till late in the night.

Poor accommodation
This must be one of my first bad reports I have put on trip advisor. We arrived mid afternoon and we told our room was not ready and had to wait in foyer for about half an hour after being up more than 24 hrs. When we were eventually given our room key we went up in the lift and on leaving lift and walking along corridor I note the carpet was dirty and stained in numerous places. Our room overlooked the harbour which was nothing to write home about no double glazing and poor fitting window. The bed sheets felt damp, the wall below air condition vent was black and stained. No safe or any tea making facilities. The only plus side was that we were there only for one night. That night it seemed everything was going on in harbour area with music and mopeds revving engines and people talking loudly which could be clearly heard due to lack of proper fitting window and double glazing. Would I recommend this hotel? NO stay way and find another. I know this sounds harsh but it's true.
