Guest House with 'better than 3 star' Hotel's Services
Very warm welcoming service. Staff are well trainer to serve. Attention time taken for assistance to room were impressive. Head massage were average but worth for money as it was included in package. Fish spa available. All facilities (air-cond, heater, safe box, doors latches etc etc) are in immaculate condition. Highly recommended for short staycation.

Great Value in Kuala Lumpur
We began our trip through Malaysia in KL and stayed for three nights at the Sojourn Guest House. Although being situated kind of dar away from the city centre we really enjoyed the stay because with Uber and Grab we could go easily to all parts of KL. The rooms are very stylish, charming and clean. The staff is helpful. You can chose out of a set of meals for your breakfast ranging from Asian noodles to club sandwiches. We even booked a massage at their spa and liked it. The value is unbeatable! It was a great start in Malaysia. I would recommend the place!

I have to give compliments to the foreign staff here . The staff is so nice except the lady manager who really needs to be properly trained. I have a staff of 500 employees and without hesitation, I would have replaced this Chinese lady manager. I have spent so much money at this hotel and I will never go back because of her unprofessional way of handling issues. As a manager, you should never ever take a picture of dirty towels caused by stained from coffee or tea and show it to every one . It is embarrassing and really, a stain from coffee or tea and we have to pay for the small towel? This is unheard of and from a very regular customer? where is her appreciation for our patronage? If a customer can be lost by such a simple , untrained manner of professionalism just imagine how many has been lost who does not even bother to spend time writing review. I have stayed here for more than 10 times and it was so good until a very unprofessional encounter with the Chinese lady manager. She claimed that the owner insisted on charging for the towel but ironically after we cancelled all of our future reservations, she was able to reversed the charge. Make sure you take pics of the hotel when you checked in. Better still, check with other hotels before choosing this hotel. You will be charged if you dirty any of the towel or bed sheets. Even a stain from tea or coffee. Few complaints on this hotel to consider. 1) NOISE: The noise is crazy, kids running around and actually opened our bedroom door. 2) DOOR LOCKING MECHANISM : This is antique door lock that is unique to the hotel industry. the door does not lock automatically when you close the door. so, better check and it can be opened if you do not lock it with the key manually when you go in or leave the room. we actually assume the door will automatically lock and to our surprised the kid opened our door while we were in the room. the first time, we actually close the door and left it unlocked. The key is big so you have to carry that dinosaur key with you. They really should look into using key card like all other hotels for security issues. Imagine leaving your room and assuming that the door will automatically lock when in reality you are leaving all your belongings there with an unlocked door. So make sure to manually lock it with the key when you leave the room. 3) They claimed no coffee available because of health issue but they have the strongest coffee know to mankind at the restaurant which they owned at the property. This totally makes no sense.

Good value place to stay
I stayed for 3 nights on my way to Kota Kinabalu, and booked based on price and reviews I'd read. It was a little further from the centre than I thought and had been under the impression it was close to Chinatown - which it was not. However the place was very clean, good wifi, and a relaxed ambience with a nice breakfast included in the adjoining restaurant which gave the opportunity to try out the local cuisine. It was cheap to get an uber into the centre, otherwise there are a couple of metro stations within a 10 minute walk or so.

Bad manager
The reason we stay here is because it close to my mother's house. We travel from US stay for at least a month here. Staffs are good here accept the Chinese lady manager. I had spilled the coffee in the room. So I used hotel small tower to wipe it off. The chinese lady manager saw us next day. She showed us the picture of tower. She was mad and told us to pay for the tower. She said is no way she can clean the tower. I said no problem. I will pay for it. But we will never stay here again. Not the money is the thought and the service to up set us. We travel all over the world. This is first time hotel manager we encounter this. We have many businesses in US. We know how important to make customers happy. Not because of small thing lost thousands dollars of businesses. Tower is part one the business. That tower is only worth less than 8 ringgit. But she lost a customers. If I am a owner I would have get rid of her.
