ST Hotel provides us a cozy room although it's not that spacious as we thought. However the bathrooms are clean and just nice to use it. Basic electrical appliances are provided too.
The location was excellent and the host was kind and always ready for good advices and infos of all kind. The hostel was very clean. My room had no window, I'm not used to that and it was not possible to get a coffee or tea in the morning. But I had a pleasant stay.

Clean, basic but RUDE owner
I stayed 2 night with my Boyfriend. the place is really nice place located beside Little india. Get a room on a high floor and with windows to enjoy the natural light. Wife and Daughter are lovely. Unfortunately owner is extremely rude and treat you like you are gonna steal something from its house. Also, often they complain for everything you make or if you take a shower at the evening time. VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. I should have read other comments before coming and book to this place not recommend and i am not coming back ever. :)

No windows but felt watched closely
Considering Reviews from St hotel made easy decided to make a reservation for 2 nights. -Good location - Cleanness But I have never read other comments and reviews about improvement to make: -Make sure your room got windows, mine was claustrophobic -Even it was closed, it was full of mosquitoes. My feet is full of bites. -Get a map, it is not easy to get to the place -find a place for breaks fast Although there is one thing will not make me recommend and come back to this place, and it is the fact the the owner tell me off, because he though I slept on the mattress (no sheets) For real, who will do that in a hostel. Such a big risk. And second detail, he said "all these westerners are the same" This is pretty bad and I would consider insulting and extremely bad manner coming from the owner. Also, you will feel that is it a charity place, as they watch every single movement you make. Somehow you feel, you are bothering at your uncle house.

nice hostel but angry owner
- Wooden floors in the house, and therefore you can hear people walking up the stairs and around the place. + the place is nice, clean and well-maintained. + location is good, quite central. - windowless room (you have no clue if it's morning or night) - the owner of the hostel gets mad if someone turns on the electricity late at night (like 11 -12 pm) but come on, it;s a hostel, and you're paying for your stay. So, when the owner gets mad, he makes too much noise and lets everyone know that he's angry. So, that was confusing to me. Overall, good stay.

Quaint hostel with modern touch
The first thing to boast about this hostel is its location. It is about 8 minutes stroll to the popular Armenian Street (bicycle mural). It is also surrounded by many sites (just google). Room was clean, towels provided and bed comfortable. Main entrance is secured by locks which require access 'key', so we felt safe in there. Hostel is in a traditional house, where the old structure is retained. Wifi is great! However, just a minor down side, there was no housekeeping throughout the 3 nights we spent there. Not sure if we had to ask for it. 2 500ml bottled mineral water was provided in the room during check in only. So you'll have to bring in your own drinking water. Kettle was not available in room. Hairdryer and iron are for common use outside the rooms. The Ilham Room we stayed in was quite small, just enough space for your luggage and to move about, but not a major problem for us. I would definitely return for my next visit to Penang.

Great place to stay with strategic location
This hostel is a great find in Georgetown, Penang. The room and shared bathroom are clean and have good interior. The WIFI is working. The location is strategic, since you can almost walk to anywhere in Penang, and it also near the CTA Bus Shelter, a free rapid bus penang to go round Georgetown. Mr. Ong also has been a great help to tell me about what should I do in Penang. I have a pleasure stay for 4 days in there.
