Very comfortable, friendly host and staff. Very recomended!
Good location. Friendly staff, clean.
Good for short stay. Backpacker style. Breakfast is bread and jam. Not a great area.
Great place to stay. Very strategic. Near the train station.
Really good, clean, well located hostel. Free WiFi and simple breakfast. But the rooms all back on to the common area, so if anyone is up being noisy at night it might keep you awake. We looked around quite a few hostels, this one was the cleanest and most comfortable. I would recommend staying here to others.
Good hostel, basic accommodation, helpful staff, good Chinatown location. Good social area where people always seemed to be chatting away. Thanks.
Staff very good and kind. There are several hostels near Pasar Seni Station, but this hostel is the best. A long desk is convenient not only for internet - very fast WiFi - but also for eating boxed food or fruit. You can turn on or turn off the room light and air-conditioner as you like. You feel very relaxed while you stay in this hostel as you take off your shoes in the premises.
Awesome hostel. Great location next to Pasar Seni. Staff are brilliant. No complaint. I'll be back there next month! Will come back again.
Good place! Nice and clean. Not excuse for anything just need to think how much you paid. Nice people, helpful staff and clean. Free simple breakfast, tea, coffee and WiFi access. Very close to sentral.
Guesthouse is nice and quiet, but the mattresses were worn out. Bad bugs in the bed I slept in, it was itchy for days. Breakfast is the usual: toast and jam. Probably one of the better hostels around in this area.

Smelly, rude staff......
After my review on traveloka got edited, i will write one here as well. hopefully not edited afterwards. -had to wait 20 minutes in front of the door before someone heard and opened it (afternoon) -the first thing you will recognize is the bed smell -dustbin with used toilet paper wasn't emptied for more than a day -one power plug socket for two beds And finally one of the staff members got really angry, aggressive and started to shout after i had to take something from my friends room (she stayed alone in a 2 bed female dorm). After traveling 4 months around SEA i can definitely say it's the worst hostel I've been so far! Can't understand the positive reviews on some platforms.....

Cheap - you get what you pay for
Dorm was ok - slightly on the small side but was good that there was a female only dorm. There are 2 communal showers and 2 communal toilets so sometimes you had to wait to use the bathroom. But there were 2 sinks in the corner so you normally didn't have to wait to brush your teeth. The bathrooms themselves need renovating. Lots of what looked like black mould on the ceiling. Fine for a quick stopover in KL but not for more than a couple of nights. There were lockers in the hall but some were taken up with food I guess from people that are kinda living there - got a weird vibe from those guys. All in all you get what you pay for.

Quiet, clean, peaceful place
After having one of the worst experience at Matahari guesthouse - just 3mins walk from suzie's and ruled by a european guy who, I felt, tricks guests - I decided to move into here, booked for two nights then extended for another night. At Suzie's I liked the peaceful atmosphere. Eventhough quite a few travellers sat around the lounge/reception area, chatting and using internet, somehow it was never loud nor noisy. Dorm is small but hardly anyone stays in the room and thus you can rest with no disturbance..plus it has a/c. It sounds obvious to have a/c at hostel in KL, but matahari guesthouse didn't have it, not even a fan in dorm. Toilet and bathroom were clean and hot water was available here. Breakfast is simple but enough in the morning. Also I loved the surrounding outside the guesthouse. Located close to both chinese & hindu temples and the street had less traffic. If you look for a quiet place to stay and having a good night's sleep, I recommend suzie's.
