Best budget accomodation in Kuching
This place is definitely the best guesthouse you can stay in Kuching. The place is very clean, homey atmosphere, friendly staff and laid back feeling just like the town it is in! You get coffee and toast all day and the beds are pods so you have a small private space to sleep. The matresses are very comfortable. The best of all is the owner John, who will take good care of you and will make sure your stay here is wonderful. You also have a great rooftop bar tp hangout at noght and have some cold beer.

Cozy pods, friendly and helpful
I stayed here for almost a month and for the price you get alot more comfort compared to a regular dorm with noisy steel frame beds. The pods feel very private and the sound insulation is surprisingly good at blocking out noise from any neighbours you might have. The breakfast is simple but unlimited (toast with jam and peanut butter and tea/coffee) Well worth the extra quid/dollar over cheaper alternatives. Its also right bang in the middle of where you'd want to be in Kuching, everything is accessible from here.

Kept My Promise To Come Back Again....
This is my second visit to Gibbon's Guesthouse. the quality has been still preserved from my last visit.g Its also a place for all the backpackers to hangout and chill and the receptionist area. A sofa kind of bed has been set up to chill while having a toast and a cup of coffee for FREE! Felt the warmth again from John the owner. Hinted to him ill be back again for the third time ;)

Reasonable price and 'homely'
The owner and staffs are approachable, clean and comfortable sleeping environment, the rooftop jazz lounge is a plus to the guesthouse! They treat guests more like family members, the owner lectured us a lot about Kuching and its must go destinations. Not to mention, the price is reasonable and especially when you're freshly graduated from college or university. It is also a good place to meet a new people and socializing. We really enjoyed our stays at Gibbon. Plot twist : I accidentally broken the toilet flush tank when I was trying to flush, I told the owner and thought I was going to pay him due to the damage, but it was a complete different story. He looked at it and spontaneously respond to me: 'I will find somebody to fix it, it is just a piece of cake, don't worry man!' I was overwhelmed by his actions.
