Charming but not worth the price
Let me start with the "Good". It's a lovely and charming little boutique hotel with very rustic feel (one of the main reasons why I chose this place). Checking in was a breeze and the staff was friendly. It comes with free breakfast which you can choose from their menu. Definitely not like your typical buffet style kind of breakfast. There's a small little window in the room which I'm grateful for. Pillows were soft. It's located in the heart of Old Town, so it's relatively easy to get around without driving. The "Bad" -- Arriving during a weekend afternoon is not the best time because parking is almost impossible to find. The room I got was located on the second floor and I liked that it stuck to its theme. Upon inspecting further, the bed was rock hard, dusty wooden walls, a leaking bidet and very, very thin walls. I could literally hear the neighbours talking, flushing (the toilet), and walking around the room. For the price I paid, I do not recommend anyone to stay here. But if you like to experience a one-off stay in an artsy and woody place, feel free to do so.

Nice feel! Good location.
Charming place, right in the heart of Old Town. Friendly staff, very good breakfast. Not suitable for family- steep stairs. Could hear foot steps and toilet flushing sound from upper floor, typical of shophouses. Within walking distance to famous streets in Old Town. A bit pricey though.

Beautiful decor, good food, rooms a bit noisy
This is a stunning small hotel in old town. Eclectic and stylish wall paintings and props. Loved spending time here. Tasty roti for breakfast. Room was just big enough for twin beds. Excellent bathroom with powerful shower. Only negative is that the soundproofing of the plumbing between rooms is not great.

amazing decoration but no room service
We liked this place very much because of its details in decoration. Actually we spent a lot of time in discovering all the handmade art pieces all over the house and around. Ist an amazing place for people who are interested in art. Situated in the middle of the town we could easy walk around and to the main train station. We booked a room in the highest floor, it was really silent all over the night until the first muezzins call there. But may be that was the reason why we had no room cleaning service the next day. We found a storage place nearby where we could take some fresh towels and water bottles for the next night. According to the reservation forms there were some cups and a cattle in the room, but no coffee- or teabags. As we asked for this, they sad, that we get this drinks free in the restaurant. The fresh brewed coffe in the restaurant is very good and also the cakes.

Unique Hotel
Very well decorated with antique furniture and fittings...eg cloth hanger carved out from tree branches, bathroom sink made of solid rockstone..hangging wooden stairs, all very creatively set by the owner of the hotel. Each room has a slightly diffrent artistic setting and beds are comfortable. Theŕe is a passage besides the hotel that is a walkway, beautifully ardoned with green climbing plants and fern on very old brick wall. This hotel is definitely a tourist destination to experience hospitality of an Old Ipoh Town.
