It's nice to stay for 2 nights at Time Capsule. I had a different experience sleep in a capsule. It's very clean, comfortable, toilet and bathroom also good, and the breaksfast was nice. But it will be better if the staffs more friendly.

An excellent stay.
Had an excellent stay. The capsule was just comfy and nice and one-of-a-kind. A massive shout out to one of the receptions named Jason for introducing good places to visit and great food to feast. A pretty much helpful bloke. A plus point for a hotel that is right smack in town, Georgetown. Walking distance to all those happening places without any trouble. Two thumbs up!

Personality disorder?
Having been to Penang Island countless times as I am based in Thailand for the past fourteen years and have to nip down on occasion for the odd visa run I personally am not inclined to hold this place dear to my heart, I have never come as a tourist but because of immigration laws I've had to make this journey as a ex-pat so I am fully aware that my mindset is probably quite biased from the onset. And because of this I am now writing my first review of any establishment on the island ever, the reason for this is I think I have found the perfect analogy for Penang in the Time Capsule hotel/hostel, actually I'm not sure what you call it?.?. At first glance it tics all the boxes, modern yet retro a Tokyo bladerunner style that is all the rage with the north east Asia market I'm talking capsules with interactive tv power points clean confortable and for a rather lanky Swede a comfortable sleep, the staff are very friendly and if you badger them enough they do get things done witch brings me to the fly in the ointment. I do admit I am a little confused at this point as well you might be, everything went swimmingly until I came down for breakfast which because they are not linked some how, under different management under the same roof and the same style and they are the ones that provide breakfast for the guests who the hell knows who is supposed to be doing what, the breakfast was a plate of scrambled eggs (nice) with what I can only describe as the last white rhino of sausages or maybe that albino who was chasing Goldie Hawn around in that movie with Chevie Chase , no condoments were provided had to go in and ask myself but that side was in the loo so I asked the girl in reception but she was not allowed to walk three meeters to hand it to me so I gave up then since I was sitting there for a bit I ended up having to clear my own table which was left on the counter inside , she seemed very busy playing tetris or whatever with her back turned to me but hey concidering I was the only guest there the appathy was staggering and that is this island in a nut shell the veneer looks great the new the old a melting pot of flavours smells and culture so lets see how long this brand spanking new establishment lasts with the up keep or are they going down the same path as everyone else and the same bed sheets you sleep in today are still going to have your DNA on them fourteen years from now...

Cheap, comfortable and great service!!
I stay there 5 days for my holiday. I walk to Rapidpenang bus stop and LinkBike location from hotel less 5 minutes. It also near morning market and food stall, so I don't worry Can't find food there. My capsule have little problem example cover drop off or locker can't open but they solve it so fast. If you want to stay there at weekend or their public holiday you must book early because it is full normally that time.

Interesting experience
Its good for the 1st timer to try new experiences. If you wanted a different then should try this place. Located in the Chulia nite life. Can go for bar hopping around there and the Love Lane is nearby also.
