The resort's environment is very nice to get closer to the nature and animals. Love all homemade food. It's a great place for family bonding time too.

Fun and interesting programmes all arranged in the package. The children enjoyed the stay very much.

Staff was friendly and prompt in service. Place is very cleaned.

It was a good get-a-away generally. My kids love the guided tour. The meals served were generous, fresh and sumptuous! We were able to have WiFi almost everywhere in the resort. The only set-back was the route into the resort from the main road. The route was about 5km on rough terrain with small rocks, and it was quite hazardous for our car.
8.4
Basic clean room, cosy and comfort. BBQ dinner was great but not much seafood choices. Overall a good choice for staycation at a very different experience

It's my 2nd stay at the resort but first time visit for the other family entourage. Everything with the resort was great except the major bummer I was told when checking-in : booked for 2 rooms online with the resort through their official appointed online agency on 16th of March for 1st and 2nd of April but the checking-in dates for both rooms differed from what I'd intended during day of checking-in => since there were still ample rooms available, but I still have to pay the resort again in cash for one of the 2 rooms only and they charged me low season rate (> RM 600). ..so do check your online bookings carefully to prevent the above mentioned from happening to you (although I've done countless online bookings or purchases in the past and nothing of this nature happened before!). My Australian caucasian relative who had numerous farm stays in his own country and abroad (NZ, Taiwan, Thailand etc) was impressed with his stay at UK Farm since it's more of a tropical farm : the cleanliness, the food, the impeccable service standard etc. Me and my wife's own repeat stay at the farm speaks volume for itself.
8.5
It was an experience for the kids and adult too. It enables them to learn and direct contact with the animals. My kids really enjoys the trip. Good experience and will come back again. Thanks.

Good for families with young children
This is a good budget option for families with young children. I would suggest staying overnight so as not to rush through everything, but not more than 2D1N as I would assume the activities repeat themselves. It's a 15min drive in at around 25km/h on an unpaved road with lots of potholes. We were there during the off peak season on a weekday so we were the only family staying overnight, aside from a large group there on a company retreat. Activities that would appeal to kids are definitely the farm tour on a large open air truck, where you get to feed sheep and various farm fowl, as well as rabbits. The sheep challenge is fun as well, but you would have to be in a fairly large group to be able to corner and catch any sheep at all. Nevertheless, my kids had fun trying. We did not join the night tour as it was already a tiring day for us, so we just released the kong ming lanterns into the sky after dinner and called it a night. We stayed in a quad chalet room not knowing that there wouldn't be any crowd, and the hostel option would have been very economical. The company group was also staying in the chalet block with us. The quad room is very spacious even with an extra bed set up. There wasn't really a problem with flies as other reviewers mentioned. But we did always use insect repellent to guard against mosquitoes. We were there in the middle of August. Food-wise, the resort is full-board once you check in. There was a hearty afternoon tea after we arrived (carbohydrates like fried rice and noodles, small assortment of Malay kuehs, even a red bean soup dessert. Dinner was also more than adequate, a buffet-style lineup with additional BBQ-ed meats. Although not fancifully prepared, almost everything was tasty. Breakfast was a similar arrangement, but with the addition of kampung half boiled eggs which were brought out by the kitchen staff when we arrived. Otherwise, it is all self-service. Overall, we had fun at this farm stay and I would rate it as a very good option if you don't want to fly with young kids to Australia or Taiwan for a similar experience.

2D1N stay at U.K. Farm
Decided to bring my kids for a short stay at the farm to experience the kampung life. Experience was good for the kids as they grew up in the city and did not have the opportunity to experience farm stay. The stay included a half day tour of the farm programme - starting at 2 pm (with various animals, including goats, ostriches, rabbits, chicken, peacock, monkey, ducks and etc). We arrived early and was abit to spend a bit of time in the room before we went on the tour. The package also included 1 tea break (cake and kueh), a dinner and a breakfast. The dinner had quite a number of dishes and they were quite nice though they are simple dishes. You can top up for premium dishes like the claypot lamb stew. We did not opt for that as the dinner was already quite filling, we could not finish all the dishes. After the dinner, we were asked if we would like to take the night tour at 5RM per head, we decided to join since we had nothing to do. Spotted some owls and bats ... and saw some fireflies but did not find anything "exotic", it all depends on your luck. The highlight for me was letting off some fireworks at the farm. We purchased some fireworks and I had a great time with my son firing off the rockets. The service was fantastic. I was served some very good staff at the farm. They were very attentive and accommodating. Thumbs up! Room? The room was average and simple. Do not expect luxurious bedding in a farm stay. It was simple but clean. The Aircon could have been better, it took a while for the Aircon to cool the room when We arrived in the afternoon. I believe it was undersized for the room. The shower was simple too. The cable TV was also basic, again .. do not expect full suite of channels in a farm stay. My sore point for the trip? The long 6km gravel road to the farm. I read about this before traveling up yet it was still quite an experience. If you have a new car or is car lover... you may want to consider asking the farm to pick you at the main gate. I drove my old beat up car and drove very slowly in and out of the farm (I am a car lover) to avoid damaging my suspension. Would I go again? If my kids ask me to. Do I have fond memories? Yes, the service and the fireworks. What else can you do at Kluang? Drop a visit to Kluang Mall and the Eco Farm if you have extra time on hand.

Dry or wet, be prepared to go back with a super dirty car...
We (family with 2 teens) did the 2 hour farm tour and thoroughly enjoyed the feeding of chickens, ducks, ostrich, and goats. Bonus part was ability to hand carry some of the baby goats and baby rabbits. Farm has lots of potential and owner could improve the overall experience by working on landscaping and training of the guide. Place, as mentioned by the rest, is very deep in from the main road. Be prepared for bumpy ride across sandy/rocky and rough access road. I can imagine how muddy it would be during rainy season. Dry or wet,be prepared to go back with a super dirty car.

Farm stay with modern amenities
Overall, the best part of the stay was feeding duck, chicken, ostrich, deer and rabbit (for rabbit you would need to purchase rabbit food at RM3/packet). This activity is great for younger children as our 3 year old enjoyed it. She even put food on her palm to feed the rabbits. However, this is not a free and easy activity as it's far away from the lobby area and we were told we can't go there on our own. After the farm tour, we had some free time before dinner hence we played on the swings and roamed the mini zoo. Saw some reviews saying they fed and pet the animals at the mini zoo but the animals are mostly caged up and the food wasn't anywhere in sight hence I don't know this was possible. As we couldn't feed the animals, there was nothing much to do there. Be on time for dinner as food is served promptly. A lot of families went back to their chalet and came to the lobby area at 7+. By then, the food was cold. We had ours piping hot and it was delicious. There were 5-6 dishes and the portion was generous. Our 6 y.o. kept refilling her soup bowl. After dinner, we opted for the night tour (RM5/person). Basically, it's a tour via the bus. The bus driver will drive slowly and 2 guides (on each side of the bus) will shine spotlight into the distance to spot animals. We saw 1 bat flying, 1 owl and 2 birds. It really depends on luck. With the slow speed of the bus and engine sound, both of our daughters (3 & 6 y.o.) fell asleep. In the middle of the tour, all lights will be off and the bus will drive in pitch dark as we approach the firefly spots. We saw a lot of fireflies and it's really pretty. At this point, we couldn't wake the 6 y.o. up to see the fireflies. I feel that the night tour is worth it. Quite a good experience. After the night tour, we went back to our chalet for warm shower. It was frustrating as we couldn't figure out how to get warm water and we had 2 cranky kids. If you face similar issue, you might want to push up the black ELB reset button on the bottom left hand corner. We collected our kong ming lanterns (tip: don't let kids colour or draw too hard as there will be a hole and the lantern won't fly) and had fun releasing them. The next day, we had breakfast (be on time for delicious food) followed by sheep challenge. In 3 minutes, if we hug a sheep for 2 seconds we will be given a medal. It's too difficult (but fun)! After that, there wasn't much to do as the only free and easy activity was mini zoo. Although we wanted to try the sheep specialties for lunch, we had nothing to do hence we checked out earlier. Comparing Koref with UK farm: Our daughters preferred Koref as they could feed and carry the rabbits anytime they want. There was also more free and easy activities on Koref. Also, you can get everywhere by foot on Koref. Food wise, UK farm wins hands down. Tip: - Don't unload luggage when you reach the lobby area. After you check-in at the lobby area, you will need to drive a few minutes to reach your chalet/dormitory. - Be on time for meals to enjoy piping hot food

Good fun for a city kid
First things first. The actual farm is located about 6km from the main road, and the access road is bumpy and untarred. Just be prepared for that. Once inside, it's a really nice feeling to be away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Paid for the tickets which includes the bus ride around the farm. The bus itself is quite quirky, basically it's just the chassis with some seats and wooden body bolted onto it. We spent time feeding goats (grass and bottled milk), eating goat-milk ice cream and watching the super efficient demonstration of milking goats, feeding ducks and chickens and ostriches and deer. The whole tour took around 2 hours. While we did have sufficient fun, this place can benefit from slightly more polish in the overall experience. It also seems to be a missed opportunity for the retail shop, which smelled really bad for some reason. We basically breezed right through without even stopping to consider the merchandise.
