There are several ways to get to X-Plorer Backpackers. The best way to get there is to take a flight there. From Kuala Lumpur, travellers can take flight from Kuala Lumpur 2 Airport and go to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah and land at Kota Kinabalu International Airport. There are several airlines that travel there like Air Asia, Malaysia Airlines, Malindo Air and several other companies. From Kota Kinabalu International Airport, travellers can take a taxi or Grab app to the hotel.

X-Plorer Backpackers is located in downtown Kota Kinabalu so for those who land at Kota Kinabalu Airport; they can take a taxi from the airport to the hotel. The taxi will take Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman dan to Kota Kinabalu City Center. It will take around 22 minutes only because the distance between the hostel and the airport is 10.4 kilometres. The price of the taxi will depend on the distance and will be determined at the taxi counter.

Different Types of Room in X-Plorer Backpackers

X-Plorer Backpackers has many room types that guests can choose from. For travellers who want to stay at this hostel, they will definitely want a cheap room. Therefore, the room offered at X-Plorer Backpackers is perfect as the existing rooms are Male Dormitory and Female Dormitory. There are rooms located in the original building while there is also a dormitory located in the new building. This dormitory is a bunk bed that accommodates 6 people in the same room. The toilet should be shared and located outside the room. Travellers who book this room will have free breakfast and get free Wi-Fi.

Other rooms other than the dormitory are Double Room Shared Bathroom. This room is for 2 people only because it has 1 double bed. But guests staying here should share the toilet with guests from other rooms.

The last room is the Family Room Shared Bathroom. It can accommodate 4 people. It has 1 double bed and 2 single beds. Guests still have to share the toilet with other guests. Guests of this room receive a free breakfast.

Gaya Street Sunday Market -

Initially, the Gaya Road was known as Bond Road. It is located in the Kota Kinabalu Business Center Area. Here was a wooden store with a roof of nipah leaves but now it has been replaced by a family business over a generation. Then every Sunday, this road is closed on motor vehicles to make way for the Open Market. Here are a variety of items such as sarong batik, fruits, flowers, art tools, shoes, antique items, handicrafts, cakes and even pet and herbs. These merchants will sell their items under a large umbrella along the Gaya road. Travellers can bargain the prices before buying them. Sunday market operates from 6.30 am to 1 pm.

Atkinson Clock Tower -

Atkinson Clock Tower is a landmark of Kota Kinabalu. It is located on Signal Hill Road near Police Station. The Clock Tower was built in 1905. The tower was built with only wood and no nails. It is to commemorate Francis George Atkinson, who is the first British official in Sabah. The tower is also the oldest landmark in Sabah. Until now, it still serves to show time to the people of Sabah.
