After several pleasent stays in Chiang Mei with amazing customer service it was a rude awakening arriving here. The hotel lobbyist was on the cell phone and seemed annoyed to have to check us in. Outside of walking us to the room no other information was given nor the breakfast hours provided. The room was plenty spacious however the balcony doors were open which left the room full of mosquitos. Spend a good 30-45 minutes in a epic war with them. We had paid the extra dollars for breakfast included meal which we regret and were better spent on local street food. The breakfast was buffet status and the food was put out with burners that were never on unless you complained the food was cold. The options varied from day to day however it was cold everyday. Staple items on the menu were toast, fruit, cereal, yogurt, soup (varied), rice, scrambled eggs, hot dogs and ham. On our stay we saw pancakes, French toast and nicked meat with vegetables which were not available everyday. On the same street off the hotel there was construction on a hotel underway. Across the block is a huge condo development underway and it began very early daily - it could be heard from our room. We opted to walk everywhere during our stay. There is a big path if you exit via the front of the hotel which had a long dark stretch. On this stretch you will find mountains of litter which has been left and seems like it isn’t on anyone’s agenda to dispose of properly. The road the hotel is on has heavy traffic

perfect! I just used the hotel to sleep to be fair. It was comfortable, Had an amazing view to sunset! quiet place, good housekeeping, shower was the best in Thailand. I had a perfect time in Ao Nang! Staff are helpful and friendly. But don't rent a bike with the company they have partnership as they want to hold your passport. Rented in a another place.

The room is extremely clean and comfortable. Air con perfect. Short walk to Ao Nang beach, 15 mins or so but it is at the top of a small hill. Staff were not friendly at all, less than accommodating. Thankfully we didn't have much reason to contact them.

Our stay at Ben's house was okay. The receptionist handling our check-in was very friendly, but another receptionist handling our check-out was showing quite an unhappy face and wasn't interested in doing her work. Other than that, our stay was quite okay. Hotel room was clean but a little old and the safe was provided in the room. Simple selection of western style breakfast was provided and tasted not bad. One great thing we really appreciated was the location of the Ben's house - a short ride on bike to Ao Nang beach just a stone's throw from Massage Corner, a really good massage centre that we visited twice during our visit to Ao Nang!

Overall good value, decent size room with balcony, safe, fridge and air con etc. The room could use a bit of painting but it was clean and comfortable enough. The walk into town is short enough, just need to be careful at night as no pavement and quite dark. Staff were helpful and took good care of me, so good stay.

Have stayed in this hotel a few times and always had a comfortable stay so when heading back to ao nang again I booked without even thinking. The hotel has taken over another hotel, as mentioned by others. It might not seem a big deal but instead of being in the quite corner that I've been used to was now in the other part. Didn't have the shade that I was used to rather then sun beating down on the room from about 11.00 onwards, plus the noise from the women cleaning/cooking in the hotel next door. Also now had to walk through 2 hotels to get to the pool. They may seem like petty complaints but I suppose when you are used to one thing and get another, it does irk. I don't know if it's bens house or Expedia's job, but surely they should be advertised as BH 1 and BH 2 and you can choose which one. Also now that they are a burgeoning empire surely they can afford a nightshift. With the hotel locked up after 10.00 guests have the inconvenience/risk of having to carry 2 relatively bulky cards to get back into the room.

This is a clean hotel, I saw the staff cleaning the place 4 times a day. They were nice, very cooperative and were always helpful. The swimming pool has a fountain and this made sleeping in the day rather difficult. Good thing it gets shut off at 7pm. The air conditioner in the room however was noisy and kept me up most of the nights I was there. I don't know why I didn't tell the staff about it. Sigh. My stay was wonderful, the hotel is a mere 3 minute walk away from the street food in Ao Nang. 10 minute walk from Ao Nang beach and 10 minutes from No Pharat Tara beach. I'd definitely go back there if I go to Krabi again.

I've stayed solo for 2nights, i found this hotel not bad. It was clean and they do make up the room the next day. Room was very spacious. Staffs were very helpful and nice. But the pool is abit disappointing as they do not have an open space for pool bed benches and pool open til 7pm only. Travelling to the main road/area, you have to rent out a motorbike as its quite far, but if you like to walk just bring a torchlight at night as it can be dark on your way in but you will passby some hotels before Ben's House. Overall, it was not bad!

I am not one of those 5 star travelers but I am not one which can stay in a disastrous place like Ben's house. The building at the reception looks like its a home away from home. We booked through hotels.com and the room we booked was standard. Upon arrival, there was no elevator, we had to carry our luggage to our rooms on our shoulders and we asked for help from hotel staff which was extremely rude, arrogant, busy with their own stuff. Our booking included hotel+breakfast and we didn't get breakfast and it was charged. They showed us the Expedia booking which they had got before our arrival and it didn't mention breakfast inclusions. The room was cramped, we had the wash basin/sink inside our room which was the biggest turnoff. I woke up in the morning to see my wife cleaning her teeth as the first sight in the morning. U clean your stomach and u have to come out to wash your hands. The bathroom ceiling was dripping. I mean I dont have words to express my dissatisfaction for the price I paid. Forget the price too for a moment, this was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. No lifts/elevators, unfriendly/rude/arrogant staff, cramped room, complete disaster.
