What Guests Say About Their Stay

The hotel has been renovated and restyled in a quirky, eclectic style in the best way. The rooms are set up spaciously, saunas and pool are clean and beautiful, board games and books are on each floor to borrow at your leisure, and the lobby has great snack and necessities available for purchase. The coffee bar is also fantastic. The bikes were very well loved and a bit rusty, but worked fine. The only downside was the distillery next door was terrible, everything else was stellar.

We loved the location. It was right by the beach and close to the horses to ride on the beach. Walking distance to town. Our room was nice. The staff was nice and very helpful. The restaurant/bar was on the 4th floor and had a wonderful view of the ocean. The pool area was great. We didnt use them, but there are bikes to use. I would definitely stay there again and highly recoment it.

Memory foam bed was terrible. No in room coffee, if you wanted some had to go to different building. Curtain torn couldn't close all the way to keep street lights out. For a high end accommodation the view was only the honest part of the price level.

Everything in this room is very sparse and minimal. No coffee, no hairdryer, no microwave. A very small refrigerator that was not cold. The view was overlooking the parking lot and their partial ocean view consisted of a teeny tiny corner where you could barely see a little water.

Very hot in the room, no AC. We had to keep the window open because it was so hot in the room. Because of the window being open, people pulled into the parking lot of the motel on that side and were noisy. We were on the 2nd floor and kids above us were running around. They were quite noisy pounding on the floor.

The rooms were nice, wish it had a dresser or somewhere to put clothing, beyond the hanger.. But it was good. The restaurant "Pickle Fish" was hit and miss so more consistency is required there, my daughter have 3/4 bad meals, one was burnt - a burger, the cheese sandwich was hard to bite so she did not eat, the fries were salty. No we don't return food, because that changes the vibe...

Let me preface this review by stating, for 30 years, I have worked in and managed fine, dining establishments all over the country. So I know a thing or 2 about offering guests top-notch customer service. I know I’m also wise enough to know, that in any of those establishments we have admitted making an egregious error, in the sum of nearly $800, I know that it is best for the brand to offer that guest some form of compensation, whether that be a gift certificate to their restaurant, or the offer of a free nights accommodation on my next visit to emphasize their regret in making such an egregious mistake. NOPE Not at the Adrift Hotel! Upon checking out, the front desk staff not only charged my credit card twice, they also charged my personal checking account debit card nearly $800 for two nights stay. and don’t even get me started on the outrageous prices. Check out the photo of the $250 per night “partial ocean view” queen roomI was assigned. The only view of the ocean you could expect was perhaps seeing it reflected on the neighboring hotel’s windows I just got off the phone with the hotel’s manager to express my dissatisfaction and all she could say was “sir, I’m sorry. We do admit we made a mistake. But we are addressing that with the front desk staff. That’s all we’re able to offer you.” This place is nothing but a below average Motel 6 it has been remodeled using empty wooden storage crates nailed to the wall in lieu of a dresser with drawers. Steer clear. Zero stars.

Everything seemed to be old and worn out. Room seemed clean but smelled of disinfectant. Ugly floors. Bedlinens and pillows needed to be replaced. Nice supply of toiletries, towels and bathrobes. No view. This hotel was great in its prime but desperately needs a remodel.

We stayed for three nights and overall it was a good experience. The room was cute, clean, and had good towels/shampoo. The pool area was great - the water was warm, and the kids loved it. Any staff member we came across staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was great, parking was easy, and price was on par. The restaurant was really good and there was live music on the nights we were there. The only hiccups were: The room was stuffy with no a/c. There was a fan provided and if you opened the window it helped a lot - but our screen was ripped so bugs flew in. The toilet seat was wiggly so when you sat or got up it you’d slide sideways and have to catch yourself There were hanging lightbulbs across the bed area instead of nightstand lamps, which looked cool but they were installed weird and you had to play with the switches to make them stay on. One of them was bad enough that you had to wiggle the wire and it kind of felt unsafe. Internet connection and tv signal was spotty. The beds felt so cozy (soft) but our backs said otherwise in the morning. (We are not in our 20’s, so there’s that lol)
