Liked the room - all very clean. Only beachfront property in Florence but kind of far from shopping. Outside along walkway to/from rooms needs some touching up. Restaurant ok priced - better than some getting soooo expensive to eat out. Food was good.

I had the worst dining experience I’ve ever had in the bistro. I waited for over an hour for some fish and chips. They said my ticket didn’t print. Said they would refund my credit card, but they did not. Everything else was good.

Great view of the ocean and the room was clean and well kept up. The property is older, but worth it for the proximity to the ocean!

Our room's ocean view was actually a large sand dune but we did have a peek of the waves. They were very accommodating of our pup, with her own sheet, towel, biscuit, and poop bags.

Pros: -Beachside location -Quiet area -Nice indoor pool and hottub. Cons: -Worn and dated property with far too high of a price. -Small cramped rooms with small uncomfortable beds (i have knots in my back and neck in the morning) -No air conditioning or dehumidifier means get ready for a muggy, damp stay and a sweaty night (Your swimsuits will never dry) which might explain why ... -Matress smells of old musty sweat -The restaurant inexplicably closes at 6 and the nearest dining is a 15 min drive in downtown florence. -Slow check in and slow service at the restaurant counter due to single staff member -Overall an unpleasant and underwhelming stay given the price paid. Feels more like a $100 price point than double that.

This hotel is a throw back to 25 years ago. At once point it was new and not much else has changed. Just know that it is dated. The staff was friendly and it in convenient to have a restaurant there, but we found the restaurant so chaotic for breakfast. It took us 25 minutes just to get smoothies.

The property is located on the ocean shore but you need to take into account the high winds and how they impact your experience. The hotel is old, need to be rebuild from the ground and far from all the city has to offer for dining and shopping. Very expensive to what it has to offer.

If you are looking for a pet-friendly stay with awesome views, but with low quality amenities, then this is the place. Room was hot when we entered - no air conditioning. Only way to cool down room is to open sliding glass door, which did not have a screen. Beds were fine. Bathroom had clean towels. Walls had several holes in them when we arrived. Dishes in cabinets needed to be rewashed before use; some need to be discarded because of cracks in glazing. Rust in the freezer (on rack). Power strip for tv, cable and clock was turned off and behind the desk (necessitating getting down on hands and knees to turn on). That entire area was dusty and hand not been vacuumed for a very long time. Staff at front desk was friendly. In comparison, the young staff at the bistro was passive-aggressive when many customers were present. After paying for takeout food, and waiting for the time we were told to wait, we were then told to get to the back of a long line of people waiting to order their food. Bistro clearly needs more staff and training. Staff needs to clean the grounds more thoroughly. Bird poop everywhere - railings, steps, sidewalks, in front of room doors. Trash on lawn to beach was not picked up during our entire stay. All the above issues can be solved with small effort and attention to detail. Price should reflect better quality.

Loved the ocean view from the balcony. Very friendly staff! Would have been nice to have another food option or even a bar. Food was ok from the Bistro but with a full kitchen you can easily cook whatever you want. Spacious rooms. A little dated but clean!

This hotel is located right on the beach. It was an easy walk out to the water. Parking was plentiful, although there were not many elevators. The property is older, but it's been updated and they've done a nice job. We stayed in a 2 bed room with a kitchen and it was so nice to have the ability to make our own meals. There was a pool across the parking lot with a hot tub and an indoor water feature for the kids to run through. It was a nice hotel and a nice place to land after a long day of driving!

This is an old property, which we don’t mind. However, this property is not clean, no updates, the elevator was broken, and the worst part was, no air conditioning — and NO windows or screens. We had a sliding door, but NO screen? You can’t leave a door open all night and there was no way to cool off except go OUTSIDE. Do better. The beach and location is beautiful and they know it, which is probably why they do nothing to improve it. We had to ask for extra towels and the note in the room said they only clean rooms once a week??? Stay in town instead, which is seven miles away and a lot better than this property.

This is a five-star view attached to a one-star motel. Every room has a balcony or patio overlooking the accessible beach. The hotel rooms are very, very basic (think carpet squares) and unadorned, but they are clean. The day of our stay, the property was badly understaffed with a 15-minute wait in line to check-in, and rooms still waiting for housekeeping at 4:30 pm. Two of three elevators in the four-story property were out of service. In summary: The setting is great, the hotel itself is below average.
