The view was spectacular and our family was exceptionally comfortable. The staff were all friendly and did extra for us.

We had a fantastic stay at Xanadu. An absolutely beautiful beachfront location and a fantastically well kept house. It really felt like our own beach house for the three days we were there, so we could live out our Grace and Frankie fantasies. Albert was very helpful, and the freshly cooked breakfast was a particular highlight with the staff super accommodating, warm and friendly. Would definitely stay again.

Xanadu Guest Villa is a lovely place to stay. We were welcomed by Albert with refreshing drinks, who then gave us suggestions of places to visit and local restaurants. The gardens of the villa lead directly onto the beach, which is lovely for long walks. We stayed in the Neptune Suite, which was very comfortable and spacious, and had great views of the beach. Albert and his wife have tried to think what guests would like and might need- there are snacks, fruit, water, wine, sherry and soft drinks, and additionally a sewing kit and a steam iron! Our only wish is that we could have stayed longer!

This property was absolutely beautiful. It belongs in a how to decorate museum! The hosts were wonderful. The room was spectacular and the view was beyond spectacular. Can’t recommend enough! Wish we could have stayed longer!

Loved the location- right on the beach front! Great walk to fantastic local beach restaurant just down the road. Amazing breakfast!!

Great place, beautiful sea view, nice hosts

This was possibly the best hotel of the entire trip. The main part of the guest house is like a museum with relaxing music and luxurious art. The bed was massive and the bedroom beautiful. The back garden opens out into a wonderful but quiet beach with stunning views. It really does feel like a five star stay. Well recommended as a stop off on the garden route. We wish we could have stayed longer.

You can tell why this place has won so much acclaim. Finest quality from the moment you push open the cavernous front door. Sea view rooms book fast and while we only had a mountain view room we certainly enjoyed sitting in the lounge. And when the breakers are high it.s a superb place to sit and watch this particular endless action.

Xanadu is a nice boutique hotel, very nicely appointed rooms and good hospitality. The location and access to the beach can't be beat! This hotel is definitely intended for and would appreciated by mature guests who are looking for a quiet retreat.

I stayed at Xanadu for only one night before moving on along the garden route. I wish I could have stayed longer! The guest house was beautifully with amazing views (and sounds!) of the sea - there was a really relaxing atmosphere. The breakfast was fantastic and the host was particularly helpful in making arrangements for dinner.

we arrived late they were very good adviced on where to eat , came to room showed us facilities and also told us gave us free soft drinks milk in fridge biscuits etc offered us coffee or tea on arrival nice sort of made to order english breakfast on beach front lovely view

Amazing, can not ask for a better accomodation!!

We were greeted by Albert after a long drive from Stellenbosch and taken to the Presidential Suite. The room has phenomenal views over the ocean with a spacious balcony. The beach is next to the house so perfect for those wanting a walk on the beach at sunset or sunrise. We were given a complimentary bottle of wine on arrival. The room was clean and the linens were high quality. I don't think it's possible to overstate just how extraordinary the views are. Thank you to all of the staff who were amazing - recommend this to anyone travelling the Garden Route but would book for more than the single day that we had !

Nicely done up with a victorian flavour...... Cons:- Swimming pool is a misnomer ... its actually a place to dip your feet Host could have been little more warmer nevertheless comfortable stay

1 night Stopover from Cape Town to Plett. INteresting property with couple who own it who are obviously totally commited in making this a great experience. Its an amazing house, though decor may nit be to every ones taste. We were given the top floor with fabulous views over the beach and sea from the large deck area.

This hotel has to have the best view I have ever experienced. Woke up to watching the waves rolling on the beach. Sat watching the Dolphins swim in the sea

This villa is situated in a spectacular position. We had a very comfortable and homely stay. We were made to feel very welcome by the owners. The decor is superb and the staff very friendly. I would definitely recommend Xanadu and hope to stay there again.
