08:00-09:00 Pick up at Pangkalan Bun and transfer to Kumai to travel up the river for about 2 hours to Camp Leakey where the older orangutans are reintroduced into the rainforest. 09:00-11:00 Stop at Pondok Tanguy, the rehabilitation center for the new ex-captive orangutans, see feeding time at 09:00 AM. Walk on the wooden platform built by volunteers from around the world to visit the feeding station and to observe orangutans in their natural habitat 11:00-14:00 Enjoy freshly cooked lunch as the boat glides through the river to the next stop 15:00 -16:30 Arrive at Camp Leaky where you can do a short trekking to the feeding station and observe how an Alpha male can be the king amongst all. Spend the rest of the day hiking through the rainforest, exploring peat swamps and lowland dipterocarp habitat, searching for wildlife, or enjoying varieties of fungi, orchid, mosses, and ferns 16:30-19:00 Spot proboscis monkeys roosting on trees by the river and a great variety of endemic birds flying by. Relax on your houseboat as it glides down the main river for a magical spectacle of fireflies gathering between the growing nipa palms on the riverside, and enjoy dinner 19:00-20:00 Return to Pangkalan Bun
