We went there in the evening and it was absolutely stunning to see the city from above with all the lights. There was a long queue but it was very efficiently managed. There's an extra fee of 10 ringits to take pictures in the sky box. We had a combobticket but I think that if you go to the sky terrace, you can skip the observation deck unless you want to look through the binoculars and stay indoors on a hot day.

quite interesting, but I don't know what happened, the queue was incredibly long, it took ±1 hour to get into the lift, even though it was open on weekends

It was quite scary at first but the view from 100m high was pretty amazing. The staffs were so helpful and you can ask them to take your photo with that view.

The staff is very helpful in directing each visitor, and asking them to queue to take pictures according to the number that has been given. Maybe those who are not afraid of heights can try this ride.

Came late at night around 9 pm, still served, hehe. The staff is friendly and helpful. It's really fun even though it's a solo trip, everywhere is assisted by Traveloka, making it easy to travel solo. For those who are afraid of heights, move aside first,,😅 But it's a shame if you don't see the night view..

It's easy. Just show your online ticket to the staff there. They will help you to scan your ticket. Inside the sky box time is limited only 40 second for a group. You have to rush and take as much photo you can get. Overall we stay almost an hour up there at the sky deck. Weather can get really hot so don't forget to bring your cap/hat/sun glasses.

We arrived early, around 9 AM, even though our scheduled time was 10 AM. We did this to avoid the crowds, and when we got there, only two groups, including us, were waiting to enter the Sky Box. To our surprise, we were only given 45 seconds to take pictures, despite being almost the only people there. I was shocked by how rushed the experience was, and because of it, I didn’t manage to get any good photos. It felt unreasonable to be hurried when there was no one else waiting. We had spent over P1,400+ for tickets to three attractions, and we were done in less than an hour! For what we paid, the experience wasn’t worth it at all. You can enjoy the same view from outside the KL Tower or simply admire the building itself without the extra cost. Total waste of money.

More about KL Tower

About KL Tower

Ever seen those crazy tall towers in pictures? KL Tower is one of them! It's a giant, 421-metre tall structure in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, making it the 7th tallest of its kind in the world. Think of it as a skyscraper, but for communication stuff like phone signals and broadcasts.

Construction began in 1991, and it officially opened its doors in 1995. But it's not just about tech – it's a tourist hub too! You can visit the observation deck for breathtaking views of the city or even walk around the edge of the tower (if you're brave enough!).

The KL Tower is open to the public from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM, every day of the week. So whether you're an early bird or a night owl, you can swing by for a visit!

Fun Activities at KL Tower

Here's a rundown of some of the coolest things you can do:

1. Soak up the views (and maybe your courage!) at the Sky Deck and Observation Deck

These two decks offer jaw-dropping, 360-degree views of Kuala Lumpur. The Observation Deck is enclosed, perfect for taking in the scenery in comfort. Feeling a bit adventurous? Head to the Sky Deck, an open-air platform that lets you feel the wind in your hair (and maybe a little adrenaline rush!).

2. Test your limits with the Tower Walk 100

This one's not for the faint of heart! The Tower Walk 100 is a guided walk around the edge of the tower's pod, 100 metres above the ground. You'll be harnessed and secured, of course, but it's definitely an experience you won't forget (and it'll make for some epic bragging rights!).

3. Treat your taste buds at ARAS Restaurant

This revolving restaurant takes fine dining to a whole new level. While you savour delicious Malaysian and international cuisines, the restaurant slowly rotates, offering ever-changing panoramic views of the city. It's a romantic and unforgettable way to experience KL Tower.

4. Capture unforgettable memories

KL Tower is a photographer's paradise! From the breathtaking cityscapes to the unique architecture of the tower itself, there are countless photo opportunities. Don't forget to snap a pic at the Sky Box, a glass cube that extends out from the Sky Deck, offering a truly unique perspective.

5. Explore the surrounding area!

The KL Tower complex isn't just about the tower itself. Take some time to explore the surrounding area, which includes: The Blue Coral Aquarium, The KL Tower Mini and ZooThe Upside Down House.

Tips when Visiting KL Tower

Here are 5 top tips to make your adventure at KL Tower even better (and higher!):

1. Conquer your fear, or skip the Tower Walk

The Tower Walk is an incredible experience, but it's definitely not for everyone. If heights aren't your thing, stick to the observation decks for stunning views without the wobbly knees!

2. Hats are a no-go on windy days

The KL Tower can get pretty breezy, especially on the open-air Sky Deck. Unless you want your hat taking a scenic flight of its own, leave it at home or pack a secure clip.

3. Book your tickets in advance

Especially during peak season or on weekends, the KL Tower can get crowded. Booking your tickets online saves you time waiting in line and allows you to plan your visit smoothly.

4. Go early or late for stunning views

While the tower is open from 9 AM to 10 PM, consider visiting during the early morning or around sunset. The city bathed in the golden hues of sunrise or the twinkling lights of dusk offers a truly magical experience.

5. Pack light and wear comfortable shoes

You'll be doing some walking and navigating stairs, so ditch the bulky backpacks and opt for comfy shoes suitable for exploring. Remember, you'll also need to remove your shoes for the Tower Walk, so choose footwear that's easy to slip on and off.

Bonus tip: Don't forget your camera! KL Tower offers endless photo opportunities, so make sure you capture those unforgettable memories.
