DC recently seems to have found their self-identity. Finding the right path and of course perfect directors for each movie. Cathy Yan as the Birds of Prey’s director really knows how to wrap this Gotham’s army without a lot of jokes, too much sexiness or testosterone along with the movie. Cathy Yan can have put everything precisely and not to forget, the cool editing.

When you watch Birds of Prey, you’ll feel the atmosphere of Sucker Punch, Deadpool, and Charlie’s Angels in one with the more amazing script than Sucker Punch, lesser joke than Deadpool, and more combinations from the characters than Charlie’s Angels. That’s just great. The joke, drama and action are just perfect, not too much. So the message is delivered well to the audience. Kudos for Cathy Yan, good job!

Harley Quinn is still Harley Quinn. She’s just less annoying, unlike in Suicide Squad. She’s more mature I can say. Renee Montoya, The Huntress, Black Canary and Cassandra Cain also nailed it.

Something that will steal your attention the most is The Huntress. Every time she starts talking, she’s just so cute. Way different from her look. While Black Mask and Victor Zsasz are made to be the centre of attention, to be mean villains without any explanations of why and how.

The plot won’t make you confused. Harley Quinn narrates the story very well and fun. She starts the movie by telling us where Joker leaves, why they break up and how she becomes like this.

Since this movie is dominated by female, you just got to see the spectacular outfits. A lot of mix and match also glitter, but still fine.

Although this movie is full of colours and adapted from comics, still this movie is cruel. 17+ because there’s a lot of fighting scenes which cause broken bones, stabbing and all. Not that gore but still eerie. A group of girls beat up some scary dudes with great soundtracks. The songs really fit the scenes

Probably not many people know Birds of Prey. Not many fans either, compared to MCU’s fans. Birds of Prey is like a club with a few fans. Not the best, but still win it!

Birds of Preys is a fun movie to watch, a new colour from DC. But if you’re looking for some handsome dudes, they’re just not here. You’d rather watch Endgame. You’ll hear an amazing song on the closing title. Well, not a new song but it fits the movie.

Ow, there’s an extra scene on the credit title, so stay for a while. One thing to remember, don’t leave your trash.
