Filipinos who are vaccinated against COVID-19 can enter Doha.
Those who are fully vaccinated must take a COVID-19 test on day 1st of arrival while being quarantined for the said day at a hotel at their expense. They need to get a negative result to end the quarantine.
Travelers must take a pre-departure COVID-19 test, and the results must be negative.
They must provide additional documentation, such as:Booking information;Proof of vaccination;Health form; andTravel registration form.

Winter (December to February)

The winter months have an average temperature from 26.8°C to 21.1°C.
The climate in these months is wonderful and less harsh for travelers to roam outside.
It is said to be the peak season, too, in Doha.
There is not much rainfall, but it does receive some rain a day or two a month.

Spring (March to May)

It is the spring months in Doha, which is much warmer.
It is almost similar to the summer season, from June to August.
The temperature ranges from 26.8°C to 42.2°C.

Autumn (September to November)

The accommodation cost is much cheaper during these months.
During this period, it is autumn in Doha.
It is also quite warm, where the temperature is around 26.3°C to 40.9°C.
There is also almost no rain during this period.

Flying Information to Doha

Flying from Manila to Doha will take around 10 hours and 17 minutes.

However, if travelers fly from Mactan-Cebu to Doha or Davao to Doha, it will take up to 13 hours. The time difference between the Philippines and Doha, is five hours; thus, travelers should plan their time accordingly.

Qatar National Library

It is one of the first libraries in the Persian Gulf and has now been regarded as the national library of Qatar.

The library aims to be:

the national library,
a research-level university library,
and the central metropolitan public library equipped for modern-day learning.

The library also functions as a community meeting place with its new addition to the building.

There are collections of books and e-books in multiple languages, such as Arabic and English, in the library itself. The genre includes journals, magazines, DVDs, CDs, audiobooks, non-fiction, bestsellers, and classical literature.

The Qatar National Library also has many academic online resources where there are rare books, manuscripts, and other materials related to the Arab-Islamic civilizations.

Fun facts:

Every month the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra would perform there for free.
Since there is event space in the library, more than 80 free events are held monthly, including a knitting activity for women every Thursday for four hours.

Museum of Islamic Art

Doha Corniche, or waterfront, is seven kilometers long. Located at the end of the Corniche is the Museum of Islamic Art.

The museum is built on an island on an artificial projecting peninsula nearby the dhow harbor. There are five floors to the main building with the main dome and a central tower.

The museum's outer façade of the museum is made of creamy limestone to showcase various shades at different times of the day. The north façade is covered with glass to allow visitors a view of the Persian Gulf.

The exhibition includes manuscripts, textiles, and ceramics from Spain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Turkey, India, and Central Asia.

Must-see: One of the main attractions is the Quranic manuscript, which is very old. It is displayed in a glass case.

Katara Cultural Village

Katara Cultural Village is a cultural village located on the eastern coast between West Bay and Pearl Qatar.

Many Qatari organizations, such as the Qatari Society for Engineers, Qatar Fine Arts Society, and the Visual Art Centre.

The village also has a public art venue that the Qatar Museums manage, the Katara Beach Club, Katara Planetarium, etc.

Katara has many facilities such as the amphitheater, an opera house, a multi-purpose cinema, a multi-purpose conference hall, a beach, and a souq.

Fun fact: The Katara has been hosting many organizations, such as the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra, where they would perform an orchestra of both western and Arabic music.

The Pearl-Qatar

The Pearl-Qatar is an artificial island of over four square kilometers. Up until 2018, there were over 27,000 residents living there.

There are over 12 districts in The Pearl. Each district has its own identity, such as Viva Bahriya, where the villas are more luxurious with Moroccan architectural style.

The Beach Villas district, as the name implies, is a residential area where most of the villas are seafront while the architectural style incorporates French, Italian, and Spanish designs. Another attractive district is the Perlita Gardens.

Fun facts:

The gardens are gated with many green spaces with artificial lakes.
