Sneak Peek: Pili Nut Inspires Design of New CamSur Capitol Building

CAZA, will be working together on the government building inspired by the pili nutwhich happens to be the key product of the province and of the entire Bicol region. Slated to be sleek, modern and sophisticated, the Capitol will look like tiered pili nuts from the side, and like a blooming flower from above.

The building will have four floors along with a covered parking area, a multi-purpose lobby, observation deck, administrative offices and the governor's quarters on the the top floor. The Capitol will also be boast lush greenery and a breathtaking view of Mt. Isarog that can be viewed from the open-air atrium. The eco-friendly structure will be built in the middle of a public park, surrounded by palm trees, a Pili grove and fountains.

Spanning more than 2.500 square meters, it will be betweenthe Pan-Philippine Highway and the Watersports Complex. This huge and ambitious project aims to promote CamSur's cultural heritage and environmental sustainability. The local government hopes to complete it in 1.5 to 2 years.
