Osaka is Japan's third-largest city by population and the central metropolis of the Kansai region. It's a food lover's paradise which is why it remains one of the most visited cities in Japan. Main airports available in Bacolod to Osaka

Bacolod-Silay Airport – This airport is located in Silay City, about 15km north of Bacolod City. Both Philippine Airlines (PAL) and Cebu Pacific Air (CEB) fly to Bacolod multiple times a day. There are multiple ways to get to the airport in the city. You can either take the van shuttle service, taxi or Grab a taxi or by tricycle or jeepney. The journey from the city to the airport would take approximately 20-30 minutes. For those departing from this airport must also take note that there will be a PHP200 terminal fee imposed.

Kansai International Airport (KIX) – Kansai International is the international airport in Osaka. It is located on an artificial island in the middle of Osaka Bay. It is around 38 kilometres from Osaka Station. This airport was opened in 1994 where it is opened to reduce the number of passengers in the Osaka International Airport. Osaka International is now a domestic airport in Osaka. This airport has two terminals to separate low-cost carriers and the normal airline. This airport also has the most extended terminal in the world. Some of the airlines that operate here are AirAsia X, Cebu Pacific and Malaysia Airlines.

With average temperatures around 19°C, May is the best season for sightseeing. Most days will be pleasantly cool and moderately humid. High temperatures can reach around 28°C, and some days may be slightly sweaty, but temperatures drop in the morning and evening. December marks the true arrival of winter. The cold becomes harsher, with average temperatures around 8°C, and some days reach a maximum of only around 10°C. In mid-to-late December there are days the high is below 10°C.

• Universal Studios Japan – Universal Studios Japan (USJ) was the first theme park under the Universal Studios brand to be built in Asia. Universal Studios Japan currently has eight sections: Hollywood, New York, San Francisco, Jurassic Park, Waterworld, Amity Village, Universal Wonderland and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Visitors are able to enjoy many amusement rides, ranging from child-friendly carousels to thrilling roller coasters and simulators based on popular movies such as Spiderman, Back to the Future, Terminator 2 and Jurassic Park. In addition to rides, the theme park offers many opportunities to take pictures with popular characters' mascots such as Snoopy, Hello Kitty and the puppets of Sesame Street. There are also various shows put on every day, including a night parade featuring illuminated floats that are paraded through the streets.
• Minami (Namba) – Located around Namba Station, Minami is one of Osaka's two major city centres. It is the city's most famous entertainment district and offers abundant dining and shopping choices. The district is easily accessible as it is served by three train companies as well as three subway lines and a highway bus terminal. The other major city centre is Kita (North) which is located around Osaka and Umeda Stations. Here you can find Dotonburi, one of Osaka's most popular tourist destinations. • Osaka Castle (Osaka-jo) – The construction of Osaka Castle started in 1583 on the former site of the Ishiyama Honganji Temple, which had been destroyed by Oda Nobunaga thirteen years earlier. Toyotomi Hideyoshi intended the castle to become the centre of a new, unified Japan under Toyotomi rule. It was the largest castle at the time. However, a few years after Hideyoshi's death, Tokugawa troops attacked and destroyed the castle and terminated the Toyotomi lineage in 1615. During the war, it miraculously survived the city-wide air raids. Major repair works gave the castle new glamour in 1997. The castle tower is now entirely modern on the inside and even features an elevator for easier accessibility. It houses an informative museum about the castle's history and Toyotomi Hideyoshi.
