The best time to visit Sydney would be in October, November, late February and also March. There are the months that offer sunnier weathers yet avoiding the heat of mid-summer. During these months there will also be lesser school holiday crowds. If you are looking for a bargain, June, July and August, which is during winter would be the best time as hotel prices will go low and there will also be a lesser tourist around.
Bacolod-Silay Airport (BCD) – The Bacolod-Silay Airport is located in Silay City, 15 kilometres from Bacolod City and services the general area of Metro Bacolod. There are various ways to get to Bacolod city from the airport. The airport consists of a three-level terminal which has check-in counters, public concourse, arrival area and information centre on the first floor. The pre-departure areas, including the VIP and CIP lounges, are located on the second floor. The second floor is also where the Merci Pasalubong Shop and Bong-Bong’s Pasalubong shops are. The third floor is where the viewing deck and the concession area are located. Amongst the most common method of transportation to Bacolod city is by a van which costs approximately 150 PHP per person, taking you to SM in Bacolod city. If you have luggage and have a travelling company, taking a taxi or a Grab would be a better option. Taking a Grab will cost around 350-500 PHP while a taxi will be around 450 PHP.
Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport(SYD) – Located only 8 kilometres from the city centre, Sydney Airport is an international airport and also the main airport for Sydney and the company Qantas. Sydney Airport is the busiest airport in Australia. The two main transportation choices to and from the airport are rail and taxi. A taxi ride from the airport to the city will take approximately 20 minutes and cost around PHP 1580. A train ride to the main terminal in the city will take around 13 minutes and cost approximately PHP 580.
Bacolod experiences a tropical climate with warm and sunny days all year round. Sydney experiences warm and temperate climates. Bacolod receives rain throughout the year as so does Sydney. The average temperature in Sydney, however, is only at 17.6 degrees Celsius while in Bacolod the average temperature is at 27.1 degrees Celsius.
