Limbang is the capital of Limbang District in the Limbang Division of Northern Sarawak, Malaysia. It is located on the banks of the Limbang River and a border town located between the two halves of Brunei. Previously known as "Pangkalan Tarap" where trade activities thrived and later became Pangkalan Tarap after combining Trusan district and Lawas district. Limbang is named after the river on which it is situated.

The airport handled 49,181 passengers, 2,112 aircraft movements and 474,513 kg of cargo in 2008.
