How to Go

By plane

Take direct flights from Manila to Cebu. There are also available flights from Davao, Clark, Puerto Princesa, Bacolod, Iloilo and other provincial airports going to Cebu. Once you’ve landed, there are buses in Mactan City bound to Bato. Choose the bus with a card sign Bato via Barili and tell the conductor to drop you off at Barangay Matutinao or Matutinao Church.

By land transportation

From Luzon, take a RORO bus in Batangas and it will pass by Masbate Province and Bicol Province, and then ride another RORO bound to Samar and Leyte and another RORO going to Cebu. There are buses in Mactan City bound to Bato. Ride the bus with a card sign Bato via Barili and tell the conductor to drop you off at Barangay Matutinao or Matutinao Church.  

Getting Around

Motorcycle rental is available in going around the place. Most of the trail only require walking. A lot of locals will offer guiding services but according to many bloggers who have gone there, it is not necessary. But if you want to be sure you’ll not get lost, you may hire one.

Tourist Attractions

The very popular Kawasan Falls ranks first as the most-visited attractions in Badian. Many travelers are attracted to its luscious greenery and turquoise water. Entrance fee is P20 where you can swim in the cold waters of Kawasan. However, Badian is not limited to Kawasan Falls.

But if you are a traveler who seeks a quick meal fix, there is a café style eatery opposite the Badian Market that offers noodles, siomai (pork dumplings deep in hot, spicy sauce) and more fried goods. There are also a lot of bakeries around which will surely satisfy those who have a sweet tooth. Also, high-end cafes and restaurants are located five to eight kilometers away from Badian.

Nightlife

Badian is a tranquil place and you will only experience nightlife in the nearby town of Moalboal. There’s Chili Bar which offers the best pizza in town. This is a great venue for music and drinking while looking at the exquisite view of the beach.
