By land transportation

Getting Around

Tayabas, Quezon is the home of a National Cultural Treasure, the Minor Basilica of St. Michael the Archangel. The Baroque-inspired architectural design of the basilica is definitely a must-see, plus, it would certainly be a pleasure to see the Philippine's longest Spanish Colonial Church in person

Also, do not miss the chance to attend the healing masses every Wednesdays and Thursdays at the Kamay ni Hesus Chapel. The chapel also features a 50-foot statue of Jesus Christ on top of a small hill which you have to climb for 310 steps, so make sure to bring an umbrella and a bottled water with you.

An adventure junkie wouldn't miss the chance to conquer Mt. Banahaw in Lucban, but for the beach lovers, get your healthy dose of vitamin sea at the province's range of beautiful resorts and beaches. Go fishing, bird watching, beach hopping and even horseback riding at the wonderful Cagbalete Island for that fresh escapade you have always dreamed of.

What's the point of food-tripping in Quezon if you haven't tried their famous Pancit Habhab? This traditional delicacy has been offered for locals and tourists alike at The Center Miki for 79 years, so check out this tried-and-tested restaurant at San Luis Street in Lucban.

For healthy eaters, MJD Urban Escape in Lucena is a must-visit as it is a farm, restaurant and recreational space all at the same time. Enjoy their freshly-plucked greens, paired with hale and hearty meals like their Mom's baked penne (P279) with organic papayamansi (P55).
