What Guests Say About Their Stay

I like most things about my stay at this hotel. The staff are friendly and polite, extras are reasonably priced and I will stay there again in the future. I think staff should inform customers when they book in that larger deluxe rooms are available at extra cost. My room was small so I would have paid for an upgrade had I known.

Our stay was very good. We contacted them via the email requested from Hotels.com and arranged a car to pick us up from the airport. It was there for us as requested and saved us from the many taxi drivers hassling for fares. We are intrepid travelers in our 30's and found it the easiest way to find transport at the same amount had we taken a cab. The area is what it is and if you have business in Anatanarivo then you know where you need to be. If you are there only for an overnight as we were, then you won't be venturing out except to be driven somewhere. Anatanarivo is a hilly city with winding confusing streets that, if you're local would be simple to navigate but don't think about driving or walking, take a cheap taxi that the front desk can call for you. The room was very clean and comfortable with a little (stand and look) balcony. The only thing, and as mentioned in other reviews, is that there is nothing but bamboo roll-down blinds separating the bathroom/toilet from the room and bed only a couple of feet away, so ALL noises are heard. In order to provide some privacy one wore headphones and listened to loud music while the other went about their bathroom rituals. If you are infirm/have a lot of baggage, the stairs will be tiring for you. There are a lot from the street and then more to the rooms - we were on the third floor - without an elevator. We ate dinner on the resto patio. The service, pizzas and breakfast were great. WiFi was very fast!

I likes the hotel & staff for the most part and the food & drink were very good. But the Customer service was lacking, I asked for help with suggested transportation tours but got No response. The AIr Conditioning wasn’t working in my room and the TV had just one French channel & nothing in English. As I understood it was not safe to walk around ar night, There was nothing to do but look at my phone or read a book… No TV News No TV entertainment in my room… rather boring…

I payed all fees and tax's then was made to pay them again as I checked out. I had no internet so could not check. The internet was very poor and only worked in the lobby. As you sit there the staff are asking you if you need anything every 10 seconds. The drinks and food are expensive compared to other hotels. Its half way up a mountain. If your a goat its great. The sound proofing is poor. I was on the 2nd floor and the wooden floor above was very very loud. The walls are very thin and I could here everything the couple next door was doing. The music from the bar downstairs went on until very late. The room was clean and beds were great. However the room was very small for the money. Best hotel in this range is central far far better.

Far too often bar / restaurant staff ( women) were unpolite. Their "main" purpose seemed to be to use their own mobile phones instead of serving customers

I've been to many hotels in madagascar (not in Antananarivo) and it's the cleanest and most comfortable hotel I've been in madagascar. And as a little extra i have to say that the WIFI is, compared to the others, very fast.
