La recepción muy atenta, la habitación limpia, provista de todo lo que ofrecen, muy confortable y con una hermosa vista al río. The location was perfect, the staff was very helpful and the room was large with a omfortable bed and pillow. Only complaint was the wifi was a little weak in our room and there was a quite a bit of road noise. But al things considered, I'd definitely stay there again."

The hotel is in a beautiful location with a great seafood restaurant within walking distance. Staff of hotel were very nice and helpful. Breakfast was included and very good. The air conditioning was weak. We would stay here again.

The lady at reception was very nice and breakfast was acceptable but on the day we arrived there was no hot water or glasses in the room or bathroom which is not what you expect for supposedly the best hotel in town. Check out was very early at 10a.m with no possibility of a late check out although we were allowed to wait in the lounge albeit that there was no avalanche of people checking in so on the face of it the management need some customer care training.

I LIKE LIKE THE BREAKFAST FOOD AND SPACIOUS AREA. I LIKE THE CLEANLINESS. SERVERS ARE VERY PLEASANT & HELPFUL. I DON'T LIKE THAT NONE OF THE STAFF CAN'T COMMUNICATE IN ENGLISH. BEING A PLACE TO BE VISITED BY FOREIGNERS, MY SUGGESTION IS THAT AT LEAST ONE STAFF SHOULD BE AVAILABLE E TO SPEAK ENGLISH. I DON'T LIKE THE TIMES WHEN THERE WAS NO ELECTRICITY. I AM AFRAID THAT IT WOULD HAPPEN WHILE I AM IN THE ELEVATOR. DURING OUR 2 DAY STAY, ELECTRICITY WENT OFF COUPLE OF TIMES WITHOUT ANY INFORMATION WHY IT HAPPENED & WHEN IT WOULD BE BACK ON. ONE TIME I WAS IN THE SHOWER AND IT WAS VERY SCARY. THERE SHOULD BE A GENERATOR THAT WOULD KICK ON RIGHT AWAY.

AC was turned off mid-afternoon and cooling did not come back on that night, for a hot room this was uncomfortable and 'nothing could be done'. Lower River view room had lots of traffic noise ( windows open to cool the hot room). Otherwise clean but care-work.

With few or no other options this is by far the best option in Viedma, and while not top grade is perfectly satisfactory and extraordinarily good value. While the rooms at the front have a pleasant river view they can be very noisy with all- night traffic noise, and a room at the rear is recommended

The hotel was very noisy. The road noise was really bad especially as it was Friday and all the local kids were driving up and down revving their bikes and cars till about 3 am. Also they put a school party on ur floor and they were making a terrible noise until about 2 am. So we got very little sleep,

We felt that when we arrived that the reception was not very welcoming and whilst efficient at checking us in we did not feel that the reception staff were very pleasant.In addition despite being non smokers we were later asked to pay a fine of 700 pesos for smoking in the room. We explained that we had never smoked in our lives and felt that they did not believe us. We did not pay the fine.Also we bought tea and cakes in the snack bar and were overcharged for two very,very small pieces of cake Also there was no menu available so one needs to check prices beforehand. We felt that the snack bar was very poor value.

I needed a break from hostels and a sleepy town to relax in. Viedma and Hotel Austral fit the bill perfectly. After reading the reviews here I felt I was taking a chance, but the hotel seemed like the best bet. And while it's clear this property is past its prime, the staff where excellent and also constantly cleaning. The room itself was basic, but with a new and clean bread spread and duvet. The bathroom was equivalent to what you'd find at a Delta in North America. The lobby is styled as a grand sitting room complete with a piano player and comfy chairs. Unfortunately this was the only place I could get wifi. Wifi didn't reach my room. The location is in the very centre of Viedma situated directly on the river. A few good restaurants around the hotel and the river walk makes for a relaxing afternoon. Summary: If you're expecting a first class hotel you'll be disappointed. This is a comfortable mid range hotel. Just relax and enjoy the town.

Lo que no me gusto que me dieran una habitación que yo no habia recervado. Ya que lo hice por telefono. Como no tenia el cheklin hecho no me dieron respuesta. Lo demas limpieza y desayuno muy bueno.
