Appollo bay is "The Hidden Gem" in Victoria for those seeking quite gateway and connection with nature through Apollo Bay beaches & Otway National Park, this neat motel has been our perfect resting spot for the couple of days getaway from Melbourne. Highly recommended.

Although the room was quite outdated, it was clean and had everything we needed. The motel is situated on the Great Ocean Rd, close to town and had an incredible view of the ocean!

Ocean view. Brilliant.
Everything in the room you could want (except a box of tissues). Working heat and cool. Our mattress was a little tired but one night did not cripple my back issues. No noise from the highway which is between the motel and the view.
And well priced for Apollo Bay at the weekend.
Would stay there again.

I went on a road trip and this property was the most expensive and poorest quality. There is no internet even though advertised differently. Towel rail hanging from wall, chairs old and well used, bottle opener and toaster in the room were both rusted, air con/heating not working, bathroom cupboard very old. shower soap holder used to be chrome, room door lock needs fixing, On a positive area is lovely with sea view, sheets seemed clean and checking out was seamless.

Great view of the ocean. Comfortable bed. the room was nice on the inside but shabby outside. door lock was loose, plumbing was poor, bathroom fan was filthy.

The signs were there when we first drove in. A large empty room was full of used and broken furniture. We were offered a larger room that was dirty, had a balcony door that had a ripped insect screen and was run down. Our second room was no better. The bathroom had black mold throughout, the bedroom wall was caked in dust that looked years old. The TV didn't work and the lock to to the front/sliding door was hanging by one screw. We lasted one night and then left. Whoever rated this hotel needs to revisit it. This place or at least the two room that we saw were in desperate need of renovations. In fact the whole property needs a major make over.
