Clean room

Large room overlooking the golf course. Great staff assistance.

Easy parking. Clean room.

Friendly staff. Room sparkling clean. Very comfortable bed. Washing machine and dryer in the room was very convenient and clean.

Air Conditioning not currently working but this did not detract from the stay; comfortable accommodation.

Great stay again at abode narrabundah. Rooms are clean and tidy. Easy to get to.

Excellent and very spacious rooms

When we arrived, we were informed that the central air conditioning system wasn’t working, which was concerning given it was a very hot day and the overnight temperature was expected to drop to 4°C. I was told they had been unable to reach me using the contact details provided, although there had been earlier communication about a room request so that didn’t make any sense. The room was too hot to stay in the day of our arrival so we spent most of it at a local shopping centre which wasn’t ideal. They had provided small heaters which came in handy overnight. The hotel itself is actually much nicer than it appeared online, and the only reason for my lower rating is the noise. The walls are paper thin, so we didn’t sleep well. As it’s a pet-friendly hotel, there were dogs barking, and we were woken early by the sound of kitchen cupboards snapping shut in neighbouring rooms. You can also hear every conversation in the hallway, and the doors close loudly, so you’re aware every time someone leaves their room. There was a strong cleaning smell when entering our room, unsure if the carpets had just been cleaned however we adjusted to it after a while. There was also a clump of hair in the shower drain which indicated the shower hadn’t been cleaned since the last guests departed. Beds are singles pushed together and extremely soft. All of us had sore backs the following day because of this. Location is out of town so quiet area with lots of parking and short drive to the city.

Initially unable to check in, email of process would have been helpful. Needed a table and chairs in the room to make the most of the kitchen. Otherwise comfortable stay. Location good, near golf course and not too far from centre. Free parking a bonus.

Bed was like sleeping on a marshmallow. Terrible smell in the bathroom. Dog poo walked all through the corridor.

Hi, we were travelling with our Samoyed. Stay went very well and Malibu was most welcome.

Stayed here several times before. Great that it is pet friendly. Unfortunately there were issues with the air conditioning however extra blankets and portable heaters were supplied. Our stay was fine however the rooms are starting to need a refresh. Looking a little dated.

Good facilities

One of the best places I’ve stayed! The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended!

Overal a good apartment style hotel room

Booked and paid for the room, for the hotel to then ring us back and say the air-conditioning/heating was not working throughout the hotel. Would not refund amount paid. As booked through wotif, where the room was advertised as having heating, we had to go through wotif to get monies returned Not helpful. If the room is not serviceable, we need to know before paying for it. You can't advertise on websites room is serviceable and has heating, when it does not. We had to book and pay for another hotel - that had heating.

Nice clean room

I used to stay here often. I like the easy parking, late checkin with box code after long day on road and modern size of room off Monaro Hwy. This trip was really disappointing. Check in after hours although clean bed and bathroom room stunk of dog, fleas on kitchenette bench, cockroaches greeted me on floor. I sneezed all night with windows wide open. It takes a lot for me to write such a review, but when i addressed with reception I got a weak apology and an offer of a small discount next time… but I don’t think there will be a next time Abode I’ll stay elsewhere!

Quiet spot, large room, has everything needed for a short to moderate stay!
