This hostel is perfect for travellers doing a guided outback tour. You can leave your big luggage there for free and they offer super early breakfast, because the tour operators pick you up early morning usually.

I’ve graded this hostel as a hostel, not a hotel. MIT had everything required for Backpackers plus a lovely atmosphere...if I was back in Alice Springs, I would definitively tell stay there again.

All will be perfect only if the receptionist make my airport shuttle booking right. I was forced to call a cab, (thankful I found a neighbor that helped me for one) as the receptionist didn't follow thru my booking even I double confirm my pick up date & time during check in. I forced to pay AUD44 instead of AUD14.50 to get myself on time for my flights.

The location and security are OK. The room is clean and the bed is confortable. The kitchen is a kind of messy. The T towels are terrible. The shower rooms are not so confortable. Check in time is limited and inconvenient.

I stayed in a six room mixed dorm before and after a two night trip to Uluru. The hostel has a great outdoor sitting area with a clean pool. The kitchen is a little small, but it works. Nice touches include milk/cereal (and toast? They had run out by the time I ate) for breakfast and complimentary storage for luggage when going on a tour). Lockers are provided in the rooms. If you do not have your own towel, you can rent one for Aus $1. This is an easy walk to downtown, but locals told me not to walk back at night.
