Fun, independent place to stay that’s good value and has a vibe from the pub downstairs. The lift is slow though, and the shower wasn’t great either (not hot enough, low pressure).

I’ve always enjoyed staying at Coppersmith, such a nice quaint hotel. Nice quiet neighborhood.
However, this time around, my room was soooo dusty, had to clean up a bit before getting comfortable after my flight.
Towels are pretty old too.

Excellent Stay – Highly Recommended
We had a great experience with this room. It was spacious, clean, and the bathroom was especially impressive—about the size of a small bedroom—making it very convenient for guests with special needs or wheelchair access.
The location is fantastic: within walking distance to South Melbourne Market, surrounded by plenty of restaurants, and right across the road from a tram stop, making it easy to get around.
We didn’t get a chance to personally thank the staff as reception was closed from Friday evening until after we checked out on Sunday morning, but everything was well set up and easy to manage.
Overall, a wonderful stay—we’d happily come back and highly recommend it to others.

Loved the Nespresso machine in the room - check-in process could be improved (pretty confusing) - room had a few spiders and webs and dust, which was strange but whatever - very comfortable bed, very quiet place.

Nice hotel, room was a bit dusty but not too bad. The restaurant was closed during the whole 5 days I was there so didn’t get to enjoy the room service. Tram stop across the road to go to Southbank and city so was convenient. Nice area, make sure you check out the markets on Coventry st.
