Discovery Parks - Burrill Lake, Ulladulla

The property is a great site for family but for older people at this time of the year the weather was not good.

This is the 2nd time we’ve stayed at this park. We love staying at this park because it’s a beautiful location being along Lake Burril. It’s a lovely walk around the grounds with kangaroos, kookaburras, as well as an aviary with a talking cockatoo. There’s lots of activities at the park including canoeing on the lake, playing tennis and golf. We chose the tree top cabin with a spa. The cabin was clean and tidy and it had everything we needed. It was in a quiet & peaceful area & very picturesque. The spa was also very enjoyable. The service on both occasions has always been friendly. It’s a short drive to Milton if you feel the need to do a spot of shopping and about 1 hours drive to Mogo if you enjoy buying or viewing arts and crafts. We’ll definitely return here.

To begin with if you are given a code to entry property at least have the boom gate down. This made me feel as though any one could enter. Cabin was old and dated. Strange configuration of cabin. No privacy for any couple as the only queen size bed was in the living area and double bunks and single bed in separate room. One two seater couch for a family of five to sit on. Bath room was old and could have had a few maintenance jobs done. Security door didn’t lock and no safety chain on door.

All good, except one of the bedsheets is not clean.

Bushland Setting and Lake Views

It was like a home, everything you need & large. Great view of lake.

Big rooms, comfy beds, good size kitchen, plenty of blankets. Needs a touch up of paint on the walls. Bathroom very dated. Big hole in carpet needs to be filled in.

We stayed in an older style cabin which sleeps 5. It is a great location especially for family and kids. Being older now it was practical and suited our needs for a 3 night stay. Very comfy bed and clovely clean linens. I do think the cabin could use a bit of a shoosh up though. now especially tap fittings, toilet cisterns and a fans all a bit too old. Overall a pleasant enough stay. Kind regards

Was absolutely lovely

It was a 2 br cabin in a holiday park on Burrill Lake. Honestly, we have stayed in nicer 2 br cabins that were in larger holiday parks, with more modern facilities, right on the beach. Was it functional, yes. Was it spacious, in the living areas, yes. Was it clean, yes… except we had to rewash the cooking equipment and the cutlery, they were all greasy for the previous use (yuck!). Did it come with its own pet, yes. A massive Huntsman the size of my husband’s hand in the bathroom. Luckily he and I weren’t too bothered, but our kids… not so much. You’re going to get spiders and things around there. It was quiet. Fairly busy for the end of the summer season. There were some areas close by for kids to play, (though they are outside the park and would definitely require adult supervision). The stay wasn’t terrible, it wasn’t even bad. It just served its purpose. It wasn’t great or remarkable, it didn’t leave an impression that made us want to return. Give it a go, make up your own minds.

Well maintained. Good facilities.

Overall the property was good, the kitchen and balcony were not very clean. The cooker hood, top and oven were covered in grease. The chairs on the balcony were greasy and the table was dirty and lost of cobwebs.. After staying at Narooma Discovery parks 2 weeks before we were a bit disappointed.

Friendly helpful staff . Clean and spacious cabin . Close to water and also pool on site . Generally a very relaxing hassle free stay . Highly recommended

Very spacious and great value for money. Lots of accessible activities for children of all ages
