Room was great; the setting was great; the staff were great. Koala hanging out in a tree just a couple of hundred feet from the room. Quiet and beautiful place.

Comfortable, unique and well designed accommodations in a gorgeous physical setting. We walked the large property and encountered beautiful wildlife including kangaroos, wallabies and koalas. Yael provided excellent, thorough guidance prior to our stay and Lina met us on site to provide further assistance with warmth and thoughtfulness. The retreat is near Flinders Chase National Park and a number of animal sanctuaries, all well worth a visit. We loved our visit to Ecopia Retreat!

We visited from the US as a family of 4 with 2 teenage daughters. We loved the remoteness of the property and seeing the kangaroo & echidna right out the window. If you’re a bird watcher, there is plenty to see! Accommodations were top notch. Excellent quality linens and really comfortable beds. We would stay again if visiting KI in the future. We brought all our groceries from Adelaide which worked out really well. Such a nice welcome tray of local from Yael, the host & we had to go buy 3 more packages of the local figs because they were so delicious! Really nice experience.

Probably best location on the island, the house was surrounded by kangaroos and wallabies, we enjoyed them every night coming close to the house. The house is nice, clean, modern, very well equipped, we also received a lovely welcome gift. Everything about the house and the host was 10/10. Thank you!

This spacious, fully featured villa is located in the center of Kangaroo island. The next buildings are just visible at the horizon so it is really a place far away from it all. The villa is surrounded by farmland. While we were indeed visited by Kangaroos and an Echidna, we wouldn't really describe this as 'pristine wilderness' as mentioned on their website. It was a bit too large for us as a couple really (3 bedrooms) but then why complain about it? :-) There is no hotel staff around - I rated it with 4 points because everything was very clean on arrival. It's fully self contained.

We had the perfect 'get away from it all' experience at KI Ecopia retreat. The house itself was spotless, well equipped, beautifully decorated, environmentally conscious and combined with some nice luxury touches. Moreover - what an amazing setting among rolling hills, with not another building in sight. Kangaroos grazed close to the property and we were fortunate to see an echidna on 2 evenings ambling across the grass. It's a perfect choice for self catering and pure relaxation. Can't wait to go back!

Sublime. The accommodation is 5* set in a remote location and surrounded by native flora and fauna. Do not expect hair dryers or micro waves. This is an eco friendly accommodation but don't worry all the other amenities are first rate. Try not to arrive in the dark as you will miss the spectactular approach to the property and makes navigating through the tracks and lagoon crossing appear more difficult than it is.
