Enjoyed our stay. One thing didn’t like was not really knowing how to get to the pool and gym facilities as there is no signs in the hotel saying which way to get there. At check in was told these facilities are outside of the building. No direction to get there

Wonderful stay at the Hyatt Canberra. The lobby and interiors are lovely with a classic 'high end' ambience and the staff very friendly and helpful. The edwardian style bathroom in our king room was magnificent! One of the best hotel bathrooms I've ever had. If I have one quibble, it was the very small tea cups and minimal tea bags in the room.

Short weekend stay. Best framed as a three star experience with crowded buffet restaurants the only dinner options plus sparse staffing. Think of it as rough n ready.

We stayed in the curtin suite for a few nights to catch up with family and friends . To be honest we were disappointed that our room had to be heated by gas column heaters and the pay tv options advertised were not available a we asked for help twice but were told the systems for heating and pay tv need upgrading . Then at 3 am we were woken by doorbell and phone call trying to deliver us a heater we Didn’t ask for . Beautiful old hotel but we wouldn’t stay again

The Canberra Park Hyatt is a destination in its own right. Everytime I go I think of the early days of Canberra which is when politicians would stay there and stroll across the grass to Parliament House. It was a pity they ran out of scones for afternoon tea (and the substitute cakes weren’t quite up to scratch) but otherwise beautiful food and excellent service.

Heritage rooms nearer to Reception but otherwise not particularly atmospheric. Room service excellent. Air conditioning also excellent. Lounge dining is a variable experience; on one occasion we had to wait 40 minutes for a simple dessert. A client at an adjacent table was simply not served at all until he stood up and moved to another table. Staff walked past; they should be better trained in a hotel of this quality.

This is a lovely historic hotel with a fabulous location. The bed is very comfortable, as are the rooms overall. Bathroom is spacious, clean and well laid out. There's a restaurant, bar and guest lounges. The service, however, lets the place down. It's polite enough, but staff are not well informed about the hotel and its offerings and struggle to cope when the place is busy. We didn't really feel welcome when we arrived, more like we were just another couple of people to deal with. Information about the EV chargers was patchy at best. The hotel is also very poorly signed if you want to find anything other than your room. Even the entrance to the car park wasn't easy to locate at the end of a tiring day driving in terrible weather. Some clear signage both inside and outside the hotel would be helpful. When I stepped out of my room, I was confronted with a maze of corridors and not a single sign to reception. Tricky when you have entered from the underground carpark, then want to find your way to the main lobby. Even one little sign would be nice.
