The goodie basket was great with a continental breakfast

Clean and tidy accommodation with easy self check-in via lockbox on arrival and a drop-box for departure. We had a ground-floor room with direct street access, which was really convenient. The motel is in a quiet part of the beach, while Tugun (about 3 km up the road where the Tugun Surf Club is located) is livelier. Parking is parallel and on-street directly in front of the rooms. We also enjoyed a lovely dinner at North Kirra Surf Club just a short walk the other way. The breakfast basket was a nice touch — even though we didn’t use it all, it was much appreciated. Cosy room with everything you need for the night and only a five-minute drive to the airport in the morning. Thank you — highly recommended!

Excellent option in Coolangata. Clean and awesome staff. Located 1.5kms away (approximate) walking diatance to great cafes, restaurants and ahopping centre, including Woolworths. The beach is one mimute walk from the hotel. Definitely re ommended for short and long stays. We will come back in December.

We had a really lovely stay, nice little touches throughout, and a great location. So close to the beach.

A wonderful stay at La Costa Motel. We stayed in Room 7. A nice selection of breakfast items were provided (including real milk!) and it was lovely meeting Ros. It didn’t detract from our experience, but note that the area is quite noisy due to it being very close to the airport (planes fly from 6am - 11pm) and because the walls between rooms are quite thin (ours were separated by an internal door). It may be worth bringing ear plugs. The property is furnished beautifully, loved the additional touches (the beach towels and basket!), the ability to use bikes for free, the gorgeous plants out front etc. Overall an excellent stay. Cute place. We appreciated the complimentary breakfast, we thought we’d miss it as we had an early flight, but it was all in the room when we got there. The place is cute, with a fifties vibe and close to the airport and a beach, The walls are a bit thin but it was great for a night, and walking distance to the Airport.

A very convenient location, a short walk into town. Spotlessly clean, nice breakfast basket. Comfortable room and bed.

this was an incredible place to stay! Rose was so kind and super helpful, she is one of the sweetest people! we were welcomed with a basket of goodies for free, self check in was super easy, we arrived around 9pm, got our key and let ourselves in! we were here for 3 nights and Rose let us borrow bikes for free throughout our stay and it was nothing short of amazing! the area is so beautiful and bikeable, all the dining and shopping is ~5-15 minute bike ride. the beach is absolutely beautiful. but i truly can’t say enough good things about this motel, it was clean, the wifi was good, the AC unit worked really well but honestly the best part was Rose and the other staff. my best friend and i are here in australia on working visas for the first time and we both agreed after we travel around a bit we 10000% will be back to this motel

The Brekky basket was lovely & the unit was clean with bright decor. The property is not managed on site & runs parallel to a busy road. Unit 2 only has street parking.

Greeted in a friendly efficient manner and made to feel like nothing was too much trouble for the owner. Not sure why we got twin beds when we were a married couple; but it did not matter as we were only overnighting en route to the Gold Coast Airport. Lovely selection of breakfast options and other nibbles in our room contributed to the loveliness of the place and so handy to local restaurants and the airport.

The basket of goodies provided for breakfast was just perfect & came with a few little extra nibbly snacks. The location was terrific for our purposes with various eateries all fairly close.

Lovely room very close to the airport. We checked in and out outside reception hours for a one night stay and it was so smooth and easy. Breakfast basket was a lovely touch especially when we were on the move with a toddler. Just made us feel so welcome and thoughtfully cared for. Would be looking forward to another stay.

Lovely quirky motel. New and nice and clean. Room is compact and bathroom tiny. So probably good for a night or two but would be cramped for longer. Welcome pack and breakfast fabulous. Got morning sun but a bit gloomy in the afternoon. OK walk to/from airport- even with heavy bags…

La Costa Motel was clean, comfy and convenient. Di is a super host, so attentive and accomodating. Looking forward to staying there again in the future.
