Lowena Cafe and Accommodation

This was one of the most disappointing stays I’ve experienced. The property is in very poor condition: the heating did not work, the towels were not clean, and the curtain was not working, causing me to wake up at 5 a.m. due to daylight. The overall facilities felt very old and poorly maintained. The only positive aspect was the very friendly and nice staff.

Kevin was a very friendly and courteous host. Great value for the price, and breakfast was delicious. It was cool to meet the other guests too, I had a good time.

Kevin is a wonderful host who makes a delightful breakfast. The rooms themselves are a good size however do smell a bit musty and the carpets have some stains. The bathroom facilities were good. The parking situation and the outside of the house are unkempt and look a little unsafe. The location is fantastic, literally up the road from the CBD so you can walk to local eateries for dinner.

We stayed in the cottage, which is spacious and secure, with its own private bathroom. The cottage is also equipped with stove, microwave, and everything you need to make a hot meal. It featured a full-sized fridge with freezer you could stock with the excellent local produce. The property is located in easy walking distance to the Wharf and city centre. We were greeted and tended to by Kevin, who was very personable and welcoming. Each morning, the breakfast (included) was cooked up by Kevin to our taste! We had a wonderful weekend in Hobart and enjoyed staying at Lowena Cafe & Accommodation.

Night away,before heading home after holiday

Ok stay for a night or two, a bit run down and needs a bit of maintenance and a good clean. Beds were clean and our room spacious. Kevin is a friendly host but really feel this place could be awesome with a good clean, fresh carpet and paint.

Kevin was delightful so kind and friendly and he made a great breakfast.

Nice cosy hotel. We stayed in the main room and it had spacious rooms. Nice garden in the back. Also has a big kitchen with mostly everything you need. In the morning there was breakfast cooked for you.

We stayed in cottage at the back. Bed good. breakfast was good and Kevin very nice.. very very quiet. Nice gardens. Easy walk to pubs and takeways

Kevin is a wonderful host. Choose this accommodation if you are happy to share bathroom and not too worried about cleanness. Kevin will cook you a homemade breakfast and do his best to help you during the stay. The property is old but we'll located. However, it is surrounded by busy roads so not very quiet or peaceful.

Kevin is lovely. Rooms are clean and have the basics.

The king size bed was great and very comfortable. The room had a sunny aspec and felt homely. The bathroom shower had mould and needed cleaning, which WE did, the toilet and sink was very clean. Breakfast is another story which we wont go into now, having said that we were well fed. This was an enjoyable memorable experience.

Kevin, the owner is very welcoming and the check-in was easy and well organised. The cottage was clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was great and enjoyable. The cottage bathroom is very small and looks unfinished, but the shower was good. Parking was available. Be relaxed and you will have a pleasant stay
