Lufra Beachside Hotel

Friendly service and wonderful views. A great self-contained unit with kitchenette and washer/dryer. Excellent value. Would stay again and will recommend to others.

This was the best hotel we stayed at on our trip down under. It was so good that we were very close to changing our plan to spend another night. Everything was perfect, the room, the staff, the dining facilities. We loved the location (right next to the Tessellated Pavement) and hope to someday have the chance to come back. Thank you so much to everyone at Lufra Beachside Hotel!

The room was upgraded for us and our view was amazing. There was a spa, washibg machine and beds were comfortable. The shower screen glass was tiny and every time we had a shower we had to spare 10 mins to clean up, but otherwise we loved the room and the staff. Dinner at the resturant was quite nice.

Carpet in room tired looking and needs to be replaced !! Curtains were coming off the rails at each end. Very understaffed on arrival . One person attending to reception, serving at the bar, clearing tables in the dining area and assigning guests to the seating in dining room.

Perfect spot for seeing the peninsula. Lovely room looking out onto Pirate Bay that has the tessellated pavement. The Lufra has an old world charm that’s comfortable and unpretenscious.

The door handle was broken, as in just hanging there, heater was temperamental only working 1/2 the time, the other heater in the room didn’t work at all. The bathroom was dirty and dated. The only thing I would recommend was the view from the room. The bed was awful saggy and uncomfortable wasn’t game enough to open the blankets so sleep in sleeping bags onto of the bed. Carpets were old and dated. Upon check out I raised the issues of the room and response was - we know as of beginning of next week they are being decommissioned due to state of them in that wing. Would definitely not return by choice the area is stunning but not enough to return too when I can pay similar price for much nicer in better location. I will praise the coffee purchased was great and the young man working reception and dining area was lovely and very professional when our meals took a ridiculously long time to arrive, not hard to make 4 meals with only a handful of diners yet it took over an hour for our meals to arrive, the young man was very apologetic and kind on behalf of someone else’s error. Overall would not reccomend and would not of selected there had I of known what it was like.

The views are fantastic the hotel is clean and tidy but without any real facilities I checked in in the evening so saw no one and left at 8.30am hand saw no one on the property The manager was helpful on the phone to ensure I got a key from the lock box but there is no real meals or breakfast service and the rooms are spartan Clean, tidy and very basic

The property was comfortable and offer beautiful views of the water. The beach was a short walk away. The staff were very friendly.
