Shower full of moulds on bottom railings. Someone hair still on the shower screen. Smells like curry inside the room when we came in. We have had to open all the windows to get rid of the smell.

We enjoyed our stay at Quest East Melbourne. Staff were very friendly and helpful, our room and linen were clean, no strange smells, the bed was comfortable. The hotel is also in a very quiet area so we slept well. Close to a tram stop and walking distance from the MCG etc.
There are only 3 parks for the whole hotel so book ahead if you need parking. Luckily we got in early enough so that wasn’t a problem for us but would be annoying to have to park somewhere else.
Overall a great experience. Nothing really fancy about it but you couldn’t ask for much more for the price. Everything was clean and intact/ in working order so we were happy.

You can tell this hotel try’s to be a bettter hotel, good staff, clean, free waters and soft drinks, and a clean space. But it was a very bad nights sleep - so noisey as we were given a front facing room and the windows there thin glass and the bed was hard and super uncomfortable pillows and bedding. Shower and plumbing was really smelly. Like it would wake me in the night with the musty/mouldy smell. And the windows rattled and I had to stuff cardboard in them to stop the rattle through the night.

Stayed for one night — it did the job. Room was quite spacious, but the bathroom was tiny and awkward to move around in. There was a fair bit of external noise, and the room showed noticeable wear and tear. That said, it’s in a great location — walking distance to the MCG, entertainment arenas, and the city. Fine for a short stay, but wouldn’t rush back.

Property is not manned at night with one sign claiming to be manned until 11pm and other piece of paper stating times as early as 5pm. If you don’t have your key then it is very difficult to access the property.
Property is on a busy road with poor sound proofing. I would not recommend this property unless you are going to a game at the MCG.
