Underwhelming for the price of this hotel. I know that it's expensive to run things in such a rural location but when you're paying more than 200 USD/night there's certain things you expect to be done right. The bathrooms were very dated with very low water pressure in the shower. The room is alright but small and the bedding could be improved. The air conditioner is also extremely loud especially in my room. The condition of the hotel was clean but fairly rundown and had the vibe of a cheap motel rather than a 200+ dollar hotel. Other simple things like the quality of the toiletries provided could also be better and would have made it feel closer to the class of hotels the price makes you expect. Staff were all very friendly and helpful but if you have an issue past 5pm you have to walk 5-10 minutes to a neighboring hotel for a reception that's open. Location is great being right in the town square and close to the grocery store however you again have to walk to the sister hotel if you're being picked up for a tour or bus. Not a huge deal to me but something to keep in mind if you have mobility issues. Overall, it was fine but don't expect anywhere near the quality that you might be expecting given the price. (I also would personally consider this closer to a 3 star hotel rather than the 3.5 that Expedia says it is.)

Very good location close to resort center for travel information, bus station, grocery and restaurants. Free on-site laundry machines are very helpful. The negative side is that our room on the first floor had some humidity smell and we saw a few tiny ants on the shower floor. But overall, we are happy with the property.

The only thing I can comment on is their lack of communication, I have emailed this hotel on several occasions to advise of my situation due to the Iran War but they choose not to answer, therefore I cannot give a good review for this hotel being ‘The Lost Course’

It would be nice to have a desk/chair in the room to work on a laptop. It was strange to see Aboriginal children running around the pool. Clearly, they were not allowed in the pool. Hopefully they have their own pool to utilize. LOVED the painting class. Good talk at the art gallery about Aboriginal art. Beds and bedding very comfortable. Nice big shower. Dinner buffet at Sails was not worth the money. We started at 7:30 PM and lots of empty serving dishes (lamb chops, only 2 slices of ham carved, 3 pieces of kangaroo, etc). No one manning the pasta station or the carving station. Definitely NOT worth the money. Lunch at Geko Cafe was fine and host very friendly. I found the staff on the whole (front desk, Noah bartender) to be less friendly than the Aussies we encountered. aboriginals looked miserable and never mad eye contact, spoke to us or engaged us in any way. All in all, glad we visited, but it is one and done.

Expensive rooms due to monopoly at site. The Lost Camel was not the most expensive but it was right up there with one of the most expensive rooms my wife and I have ever stayed. No other options to spend the night if viewing the Rock. We had a wonderful vacation and experience. Nothing bad to say except for the huge expense for hotels rooms, rental cars, and price of bus tours.
