The area is going through major renovations and looks unkempt. We faced scaffolding. Lights going on automatically in hallway was a little weird. Taxi ride from train station cost 47 euros.

The lobby was nice and the best thing about the hotel, featuring multiple mathematicians and physicians. (for instance Schrödinger etc.) Green Apples at the reception for free. Check-in was fast and uncomplicated. The bathroom had everything I needed. A plus that was missing would be body lotion. Temperature on the air condition was not possible to be turned below 20 degrees Celsius, or off at all. Water boiler worked. Coffee (powder, 2 different sorts) and tees (black, green, fruit) TV worked fine. CNN & BBC News available. Fridge was empty. Unacceptable. Only one electrical plug socket next to each bed, yet both with two switches next to them, one on each side of the bed controlling the electrical flow for the plug socket that had the big floor lamp plugged into it. Now the confusing thing was exactly this fact combined with the need to pull out the plug of the bed lamps on esch side in order to charge my phone and powerstation. I would not get behind the mystery whether the respective switch for the plug socket on each side was turned on or not.

The hotel is just “okay”. It’s a budget friendly hotel that offers a warm place to sleep at night. However, the rooms are a little dirty, the rooms are cramped and dated, and the beds are terribly uncomfortable. The staff is nice and the location is “okay” if you don’t mind walking. It’s nothing special and may be worth spending a little more for more relaxing accommodation.

The location was great, located in the heart of the university district. The bed was large but only one comforter. The pillows were not comfortable and found them very thin and not supportive. The room was a good size. Temperature control in the room was very difficult. Staying on a high floor made it very hot.

Overall the hotel looked rather tired and the lift was in very poor condition. Breakfast buffet was very good, especially I see included some fruit.
View from my balcony was very pleasant. They seemed unable to provide milk for the room or sufficient tea bags

We had a spacious comfort room, with comfortable bed and lovely cotton bedding. The room was at the back of the hotel and very quiet. The breakfast was tasty, with lots of choices. The location is great, in a quiet, safe area with lots of transport links.
Our only criticism was that the carpets and bathroom need updating.

To be honest, is not worth the money.
Location convenient and walking distance to museums etc (if you like to walk). Service is OK, but keep in mind that your room may not be cleaned by 2 pm every day. We had spider web in the room and in the bathroom and they never vacuumed our room in 4 nights stay.
Also, if you drink the water bottles in the room, you will be charged for it. We were expecting with 95 F at least the water bottles in the room will be free.
