The staff was nice. I won't use this site to book if we stay again. We had the squeeky bed in the diagonal room. The other rooms looked better. Book with them. Beautiful surroundings. Dinner was awesome and breakfast was great, with made to order eggs. Cooked correctly. (That's hard to find) No fan I guess and so that means open windows. Summer can get hot!

We stayed 4 nights and booked dinner and breakfast as well. It was great! The hotel's chef made delicious dishes every day and all the other stuff were very nice and kind and help with all our special needs. Not to mention the great view from the balcony... We are definitely recommending to stay here!

Hotel Dorfer was absolutely perfect! The hotel is a little out there but trust me it’s worth it.They don’t speak a lot of English but everyone is simply amazing and know how to communicate. The room we had was for 3 people and had 2 seperate bedrooms and a stunning vieW. The breakfast was also amazing with a good variety of jams,cheeses and cereals. We were also asked if we wanted eggs. Amazing stay.

I cannot begin to explain how much I love this place. The hotel, the food, the family which owns it, the entire staff, and the town are all just amazing. There is nothing 5he6 wouldn’t do to make my stay more comfortable. The views are unbelievable and I cannot wait to return to the special place in the mountains.

We had an amazing stay at Hotel Dorfer. The view was even better than the pictures, and the staff was great. We were the only foreigners there, and felt like we'd stumbled on a gem. There were only a few rooms, so it was cozy. A central location to several great outdoor sights within a 30 minute drive.

We stayed at the Hotel Dorfer for two nights and enjoyed the delightful breakfast spread each morning which included freshly made ham and eggs. If you stay for dinner try the apricot schnapps, it's really quite good! The family was accommodating and even though we spoke only English we felt very comfortable and welcomed. I would love to visit the Hotel Dorfer again!

We have just returned to the UK after spending 1 week at the Pension Dorfer. I hope that more people from the UK will discover this fabulous Pension which is very well located for the Ski Amadé area. There is a skibus stop immediately outside the pension which gives you access to the Grossarl/Dorfgastein area and also to Alpendorf/Wagrain/Flachau area. We didn't need to use the bus as we had a car and with this we managed to ski in a different area every day. You can easily drive to the Schladming area which is within 1 hour. The pension itself offers very comfortable and modern rooms with stunning views of the Grossarl valley. The quality and quantity of food is excellent (I gained 3 kilos in the week!) for breakfast there is a good continental buffet and you can have eggs and sausages cooked as well if you like. The evening dinner is 4 course, and includes a salad buffet followed by soup and then a choice of 3 main dishes (Usually 1 meat, 1 fish & 1 vegetarian option), to finish there is a choice of dessert or schnapps! The staff are very friendly and overall there is nothing we can fault about the Pension Dorfer. We look forward to returning again in the future.
