Great location and nice lake view

Clean room, excellent staff, great breakfast and amazing view.

Well located downtown and on the lakefront. Clean and friendly service. No air conditioning in room and common areas. Good breakfast. No coffee/ tea service or refrigerator in room. Safe box in room didn't work, and not secured to closet.

Plus~Good location on the lake, friendly & helpful receptionist. Hotel good condition. Negative~Expensive garage parking next door to hotel, weak breakfast, bed pillows bad.

Easy self-check-in, spacious room with stunning views. Great location, and quiet room. Everything was perfect! We were very grateful for being alllowed to bring our doggies. Best breakfast buffet ever! Thank you so much!

Basic hotel on the Gmunden see Nice breakfast in a very nice location.

We enjoyed staying at the hotel. The room is clean and breakfast is super delicious and healthy with lots of varieties of meat, egg dishes, bread types, etc. The personnel is very friendly and eager to help. We truly enjoyed our stay in the hotel and wanted to extend our stay for 1 more night but unfortunately no rooms were available. We shall definitely be back !

The hotel got in touch before we arrived to ensure that there was someone available to meet us. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful, providing tips on good places to eat and to visit locally. The breakfasts were outstanding! Note that the hotel has limited facilities, essentially providing bed and breakfast, which was perfect for what we needed during our stay. There is a myriad of good places to eat in walking distance of the hotel.

When we arrived the hotel allocated a lake view room without telling us that we need to pay extra for the “upgrade”. End up we need to pay additional €36 for the upgrade.

Good location, but no free parking

Was a Little hard to find with no parking on site. But just park in the parking garage and the hotel will give you a discount and in/out privilege. Check in was quick and easy and our room was huge with a queen and a sofa bed and it had 2 bathrooms!!!!! Was amazing and so helpful with 3 adults. Absolutely most beautiful view from the little balcony. Little fridge in the room. No air conditioning but a Fan is available in the room. Room was not hot as the weather was cool the days before we arrived. Room was clean and beds comfortable. Since you are directly at the promenade you are right in the middle of everything. Shops, lake, beach,restaurants and boat rentals. Service was excellent and the breakfast Terrasse just has an amazing view if the lake and surrounding mountains. The breakfast was amazing and had a nice selection of cold cuts, cheese and smoked salmon. Great coffee and of course bread and rolls. Truly enjoyed our short visit and would definitely come back.

Do not stay here!!! The pictures are not at all what is the reality. It’s not even a hotel it’s a single floor in an apartment building. After 4:30pm there is no one at the place. I got in the elevator to go check in and noticed there was a paper taped to the door with my name on it. Asking me to call this number to check in. After calling I was told there was no services/ restaurant no one till 7AM the next morning. After finding the key to the “hotel”. bad vibes. Smelled of dirty laundry and cooked cabbage I felt like I had just entered the hotel from the movie the shining. The room looks nothing like the pictures on the site and the balcony opened to the back alley not the lake Since this is the last trip with my daughter before she goes back to school, we decided to not stay there. We called the management back to inform them we were not going to stay and needed a refund. We were told since they already collected the money they could not refund us, as well as “not liking the room” is not a good enough excuse. I think I should get a refund since I booked a lake view room and got the alley etc. No check in, not even a real hotel, horrible smell, sketchy bad vibes, everything you don’t want. Thankfully a little down the road we found a spot to stay at the “ Seegasthof hotel Hois’n Wirt” where we had a very nice meal, good room, amazing lake views, and such nice staff. They even let us use their private beach for the next day. Save yourselves the headache and don’t stay here.

Definitely son the smaller side but an exceptional location and view from our room— The continental breakfast was lovely as well.

We had a great time at the hotel and in Gmunden in general. We got a room with an impressive view of the lake, great service and good recommendations from Laura at the front desk. Very good breakfast and very good service there too. Convenient location in the centre of the village, I definitely recommend the grilled fish stand about 500 m from the hotel on the lake shore if you want to try local street food. Parking was convenient, in an underground car park beneath the hotel. The front desk hours are limited, so make sure you call ahead if you are planning to arrive after 4:30 pm, they will give you all the information you need for a quick self check-in. The rooms are clean and spacious, I had never heard about Gmunden before this trip and now I’m looking forward to the next time!

The staff were very friendly and courteous and the hotel was wonderfully located directly on the lake. Wonderful weather certainly helped the few days there

Great location and hotel facilities. The hotel staff was super friendly and easygoing. Breakfast was rather average with not great selection and strange attitude of the lady in charge. Overall super positive.
