We were upgraded at no cost from a family room for three to a one bedroom apartment with a loft. What a treat after hiking the Kaiser Krone circuit. Great location across from the train station. Built in 1885 with an obvious sense of pride and remodeled with modern amenities. Friendly staff. Great value.

Literally opposite the station, this hotel is so convenient especially for an overnight stay. They happily stored my luggage. I was offered the Kufstein card which allowed free entrance to major tourist sites, including the Festung and Kaiser Chair lift, both highlights of Kufstein.

A very nice clean hotel in a very picturesque setting. The major short coming is lack of air conditioning. That’s a big issue in August. Some rooms at least have a ceiling fan. Ours didn’t.

Great area to walk to restaurants or bars. View of mountains. Train station across the street but didn’t impact negatively on the area. Good room. Large. A refrigerator would have been nice. I would return.

A lot of construction when coming and going, but steps away from the train station. Very helpful staff who assisted with showing me how to use their washing machine for free...and brought a hanging table to my room which took a full day to dry. Very grateful for the opportunity to wash for free and not have to wait 2 days to get the laundry back. Close proximity to a short walk to city center with great food and ice cream! Kaiserlift was worth the walk and is a must see/do!!! Simply breathtaking!!! Kufstein castle is very close too! A little noisy outside from passers by with the windows open for cooling, toilets require frequent flushing, and no staff at the front in the evening. Breakfast was good and included in the price! I'd definitely stay again!

Enjoyed our stay at Kufstein, they had an army display and bands playing so that was good, we had a great time going up the Kaiser lift terrific views of the city river & mountains, a nice gasthaus at the very top. Also there's another one halfway up, before you get on the next chair lift up to the top. The Fortress showed lots of detail about torture used in Medieval times. There is an audio tour that can be downloaded in English but we found it a bit monotone and not too interesting. But walking the grounds was an adventure.

Booked it last minute to make a driving stop. Saw the location and though "uh-oh, a railway hotel". Nothing of the kind. Yes, it is located right next to the train station, but it is a very nice, full-fledged hotel. Hotel staff really care - we did not realize they normally close reception at 8PM, and found a very helpful lady still waiting for us when we finally made it there just before 10PM - much appreciated. Hotel is within 5 minutes waling distance of the Kufstein castle which we had in our room view. Excellent place, with character. No elevator, however. We did not care, but some may. Some construction going on nearby right now, but not problematic.

old and nicely refurbished hotel with character in central location. Helpful staff. Kufstein is an interesting town, well worth visiting. free parking, good WiFi, reasonable breakfast. However, no air con, so it is necessary to sleep with an open window in hot weather and then you have to contend with the town centre noise. lots of noise from trains, music, drunken shouting, etc. well into the small hours.

I was expecting little more than a hostel to crash in following a late night arrival, but this old hotel has been nicely restored and was quite comfortable. A very nice breakfast is included, free wi-fi with excellent speed, and my room and all common areas were spotless. Located directly across from the train station and bus stops, so ask for a room on the back side if you're a light sleeper.

Staff very friendly, as was everyone in Kufstein. The young lad on reception was very helpful when we arrived in discussing possible walks in the high mountains + gave us some 1 Euro bus tickets. We booked single rooms but were given triples. That was good as the beds were not the most comfortable, so I could choose the best one available. Breakfast okay. Excellent location near to the trainstation, buses and all activities. Reasonable for the price paid.

This is a typical Austrian Inn, in Kufstein. It is not a fancy hotel. But, it is quite near the train station and across the bridge from the village. The furnitures are a bit old. Breakfast was OK. The front desk was sincere. I was there only one night. So, it is an average stay.

The purpose of our stay at the hotel was to be close to the ski slopes in Scheffau. We stayed at the hotel from the 24 - 27th December 2011. We were created by friendly staff who were very helpful with the usual set of questions you have with checkin.. The rooms were clean, a little tired but well within the price per night & location we were paying for. The breakfast was a continental buffet with the usual cereals, toast, meats & cheeses, yogurt, tea & coffee. The hotel doesn't have any facilities, but is charming. The hotel is located directly in front of the Kufstein central station with a taxi stand to the side. The hotel is a 15-20 minute drive to Scheffau ski lifts where there is free parking & the usual ski rentals & a few shops on hand. Overall we had a very pleasant stay at Gisela Hotel & would recommend it to others.
