I was completing a 6 week work assignment in Vienna so my boyfriend decided to travel from Canada for a 9 day visit during the Easter holiday. We wanted to get out of the city and maybe do a little skiing before his return to Canada and stumbled across the Mountain & Soul hotel on the Hotel.com website. It is a little further away from the Hintertux Glacier than we had originally wanted but we were pleasantly surprised by the amazing staff and a view that would not have existed closer to the Glacier. Nestled in the middle of a small community half way up a side hill we found Mountain & Soul (thanks to our GPS!) Our room had a balcony that overlooked the local community and had a spectacular view of the glaciers to the left. The room was minimally decorated and the bed was more than comfortable. The real surprise was the restaurant located on the main floor of the hotel. The food was beyond excellent, after 4 weeks in Austria I have yet to experience food as nicely presented and as delicious as what we were served at Mountain & Soul. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful a true testament to the aptly named Mountain & Soul. I do not have a single negative comment regarding our time at Mountain & Soul. If I ever have the opportunity to return to Austria, I will be certain to include another stay at Mountain & Soul on my itinerary.

We had to climb the slope up to Mountain and Soul hotel as we were not driving. Takes around 15 mins fom the hippach/ramsau zillertalbahn but it was all worth it. The breathtaking view from the room's balcony made up for it. Yes, there's a hammock in the room's balcony. The hotel's restaurant (soul kitchen) serves great food. Breakfast is decent and d view is amazing. Wifi in d room was decent but we find the bedframe a bit low and mattress a bit soft. Overall was a great experience.

In January, we booked a room for a one night stay in May at the Mountain & Soul. We arrived about 5:00 pm on Saturday evening and the hotel appeared to be closed. We called the hotel's direct contact number and received a recorded message saying the hotel was closed until mid-June. We then called Hotels.com to explain the situation. Hotels.com was very helpful in confirming with the Mountain & Soul that they were indeed closed and in finding an alternate hotel for us. In only about 25 minutes Hotels.com was able to locate a room in the Ferienhotel Aussicht in Finkenberg, a village about 15 minutes drive from the Mountain & Soul. When we arrived at the Aussicht, they already had an email from Hotels.com confirming the details of our new booking. We checked in and had a wonderful stay at the Aussicht. We were pleased with the overall outcome and the performance of Hotels.com, and would highly recommend the Ferienhotel Aussicht to other visitors to the Zillertal.

Das Hotel ist "etwas anders". Eigentlich ein altes Haus, aufgehübscht und mit einem neuen SPA und neuem Restaurantbereich versehen. Die Zimmer sind desigig und bunt, aber insbesondere die Bäder sind "old-style". Man hat versucht aussen wie innen mit Farbe, Bildern und Gegenständen Design ins Hotel zu bringen. Aber dem sind eben Grenzen gesetzt. Und nicht jedem gefällt grell-grün und pink. Also insgesamt gut gewollt, aber eben nicht wirklich schlüssig umgesetzt. Der SPA ist toll, wenn denn alles funktionieren würde. An einem Tag war die Sauna nur auf 60 Grad, dann war 3mal Stromausfall im SPA, am nächsten Tag funktionierte die Musikanlage nicht richtig. Die Zirbensauna war ein kühler Raum, der nach Zirbenholz roch, Nutzen fraglich. Das Dampfbad ist eine Plastikhöhle, keinerlei Charme. Das Frühstück ist super und vielfältig. Der Service geht leider gar nicht. Alle sind sehr freundlich und bemüht, haben es aber schlicht nicht drauf. Die Liste wäre lang (langsamer Check-In/Out, Rezeption nicht immer besetzt, Restaurantservice inakzeptabel, ....). Das Management hat das Hotel nicht im Griff. Das Essen am Abend im Restaurant war unterschiedlich. Wir waren eine grosse Gruppe und hatten hervorragende Speisen und solche, die einfach nicht gelungen waren.

Zuerst das Positive: Der Wellnessbereich und der Barbereich sind top. Leider sind die Zimmer das nicht. Die Badezimmertür konnte nur mit größter Mühe geschlossen werden. Trotz 3 (!) maliger Reklamation wurde man nur vertröstet, man gibt es weiter. Den zuständigen Mitarbeiter haben wir durch Zufall getroffen, er hat sich die Tür 5 min. angesehen und wart dann nicht mehr gesehen. Der Schrank im Zimmer war leider "schrottreif" Die Türen haben geklemmt und wenn sie doch mal auf waren, dann war es auch schwer diese wieder zu schließen. Zusammendfassend kann man leider nur sagen, die Zimmer sind mehr Schein als Sein...

Während unseres kurzen Familienurlaubs haben wir uns im Mountain & Seoul verwöhnen lassen. Sehr nettes und aufmerksames Personal und eine besondere Küche haben uns gefallen. Es gibt eine gute Anbindung an das Skigebiet Mayrhofen durch den Skibus. Ansonsten etwas abseits des Ortes am Hang gelegen mit sehr schönem Ausblick zumindest der vorderen Zimmer und des Wellness-Bereiches. Wir waren sehr zufrieden.

Bodde tre netter her i forbindelse med fjellturer i Zillertal. Hotellet ligger utenfor sentrum litt oppe i dalsiden med en fantastisk utsikt. Rommene er små og enkle og mangler AC, men får du rom ut mot dalsiden får du flott utsikt fra balkongen. Betjeningen er meget hyggelig og serviceinnstilt.Svært god frokost og restaurant. Kul restaurant.
