Great property

Clean and cute very spacious but small poo4

Can't say enough good things about Alux! My friend and I visited Placencia for our Birthdays and were originally booked at other accomadations. We left the other place after one night and found Alux. What a gem! It is in the heart of the village. Everything is walkable, with lots of options for food, shopping and fun. The room as lovely, clean, cool and spacious. It was so well appointed too! Coffee and filters, small appliances, spacous modern kitchen, thick bath towels, toiletries and so forth. We are planning a return trip for 2026!

The listing for this property was incorrect. What we thought we were getting was 3 queen beds with 2 bathrooms. Instead, we got 2 adjoining units that had 1 queen bed each, a pull-out sofa, & 3 bathrooms. Each unit had its own kitchen. When we arrived, the door between our rooms was locked so we had to go out to the porch & into the other unit to be with our friends. This wouldn't have been an issue, except when we left our room, the door locked & the automatic keypad stopped working (the battery died), so we could not get back into our room for 2 hours. The property manager wasn't going to back until later that evening, so finally she sent someone to unlock our door. My other issue was that there was only 1 mini split (air conditioning unit) in each unit in the bedrooms. We could not close the bedroom doors because the rest of the apartment would get so hot! Plus, the person who was stuck sleeping on the pull-out couch in the living room would have been sweating. A minor detail is the plunge pool was cloudy & dirty looking, so we opted not to use it. The windows were metal shutters with no glass, which I found odd. Other than that, the hotel is located in a convenient area to walk to however, the parking is really for a golf cart only. (They let us park our SUV in the small driveway, but it was a huge project to get it there!) The staff was polite & did their best to assist us with the issues we encountered. The rooms were clean & well stocked. I really liked the decor.
