What Guests Say About Their Stay

We really enjoyed Brahma Blue! Darryl was very helpful and informative before and during our stay. He wanted to make sure we knew how to get there - by going to their dock in San Pedro to get a short (5 minute) boat ride across the bay. Beautiful grounds, amazing sunsets, great restaurant with a cool owner (Chris) that accomodated my egg allergy in one of the best ways anyone has, ever. Bring a few snacks/groceries and drinks with you on day 1 as you do need to go elsewhere to get supplies. Their restaurant is open morning-night though. The condo/flat we were in was more than enough and well-setup. Nice balcony, clean, uncluttered space, great kitchen, etc.

We were in Belize early February 2025. We had three nights with Brahma Blue and would gladly recommend it. Highlights include beautiful rooms and a WONDERFUL cafe, where Gil makes great meals/drinks. Very easy to get to and forth to Ambergris Caye ( 4 minute boat ride) and a big break from San Pedro. Darrell, the concierge, is helpful and even packaged a forgotten Ipad to our next destination! Downsides are that you do need to follow a scheduled ferry ride or pay a little extra; there isn't a lot to do at Brahma Blue- kayaks weren't really set up for guests- and we did have a fire alarm monitor go off in an unoccupied room and they didn't seem to have a procedure to fix that- we all just got lucky the handyman happened to be there very late in the night. Would recommend for sure if you are looking for quiet, somewhat affordable rooms and a good place to have a nice meal/drink.

I really enjoyed staying at Brahma Blue with my 7yo son. Darrel and other staff members were very accommodating and welcoming. The weather wasn't too pleasant during our stay, but we still enjoyed the pool and the Coconut Cafe on the pier. It very very peaceful and quiet place if you are into that.

Beautiful Island, Poor Communication My family and I stayed in the penthouse at Brahama Blue Resort, and while the island and views were stunning, poor communication and service made our stay frustrating. We arrived around 12:30 PM, as previously communicated with management, only to be told check-in wasn’t until 3 PM. Had this been mentioned earlier, we would have stayed on the main island longer instead of waiting outside. The penthouse was spacious with breathtaking views, but several issues dampened our stay. The private hot tub, a major reason for booking, was dirty and unusable. The master bedroom TV didn’t work, and the bathroom had a strong sewage smell. Despite reporting these concerns, management was dismissive, and only after repeated messages via WhatsApp did we get any response. On the positive side, all rooms had air-conditioning, and the café served great food. However, the biggest frustration was the boat service. Signs stated after-hours rides were 20 Belizean dollars per person, but on departure day, we were suddenly charged $100 USD for a five-minute ride—despite being previously quoted $25. They later covered half the cost, but the lack of transparency was disappointing. Overall, the island is beautiful, but the poor communication and lack of responsiveness made this far from a perfect stay.

This is a great hotel that is a short boat ride away from the hustle and bustle of San Pedro. We enjoyed relaxing by the pool and went on two amazing snorkeling excursions they arranged for us ( picked us up at the dock!). Sunsets are amazing, the room is great and the staff was friendly. I highly recommend staying here!

the rooms were very nice and big. But you have to know about couple things that made our stay very uncomfortable and inconvenient. first of all there is no beach ... 2nd there were so many mosquitos because of the location and we all came back home itching. but the worst thing for us for the location of this hotel.. you can only get there by boat. Boat schedule was not followed by hotel. and there are very limited amount of runs that they do. if you don't make it to boat, you pay 10$ for ride off schedule ( it added up good ) or you sit on a pier and feed mosquitos. you have to pay every time you call for the boat. restaurant on the site is nice but opens for breakfast only at 8:30. So, if you take a tour in the morning, you have to eat somewhere else. the next boat ride is at 9 and then 10 am. you will be stock at the hotel till 10 if you eat breakfast. Our bed in master bedroom made so much noise when you sleep and turn from side to side that first night we woke up exhausted. they did fix it right away though. We would not come back to this hotel. but again, if you are looking to sit by the pool all day and feed mosquitos then it's a nice place.. like I said in the beginning: rooms are nice and big , pool is clean, staff is nice. too bad we can't add video only photos. we recorded the sounds our bad on the first night. you never heard anything like that.

The condos were an exceptional value. I would have happily given this property a 10 out of 10 had they not committed the cardinal sin. They were dishonest. The first use of the showers was cause for concern. It came with an overwhelming odor of sulfur and was short on hot water. I informed the manager of the issue. His response felt dismissive and unconcerned. However, he said that someone would take a look. I returned later in the day and asked if the problem was resolved. Again, he seemed dismissive and unconcerned. He suggested allowing the hot water to run for 5 minutes before showering. While the smell of sulfur was significantly reduced, the hot water was non-existent. Based on discussions with other guests, it is clear that I was not the only one having this issue. It is my opinion that the manager was not honest about the nature or repair of the issue. I've provided digital marketing services to the service and hospitality industries for over 20 years. The first rule when dealing with a customer concern is DO NOT BE DISHONEST. Customers will be understanding and flexible as long as they are treated with respect. Dishonesty and deception are not respectful. Lastly, thoroughly research room amenities before booking. I was disappointed to find that access to certain amenities shown on the website are limited to certain rooms or villas.

Newer resort across the lagoon from town. Was pretty much empty when we visited. Rooms was large and well decorated and furnished. Large decks provide big views. Centrally located fresh pool is available but did not look clean. Hotel uses a water taxi style boat to shuttle you back and forth to town. Water taxi schedule is posted but not strictly adhered to. From the resort transfers to area beaches easy to arrange and reasonably valued. Local tours easy to arrange at hotel while you pay an extra 20% or so as compared to making your own arrangements. Restraunt appears to be facing some challenges in maintaining adequate inventory of some menu items. Generally speaking the prep and dish quality of meals we did order was average to better than average... the exception being the cevishee which contained only snapper as protein. Food/drink pricing is high but you have to go across the lagoon to do better. We found the staff here very approachable and fluent speakers of English. We genuinely enjoyed the conversations we had with staff. The only negatives are the coffee pot not cleaned after previous guests and beach style towels unavailable to take around.
