The staff at the hotel were very nice and helpful. The breakfast was ok, nothing fancy, but nice to have the option. The room was dirty, moist, smells bad and has mold in the bathroom. You can tell the bedding is not washed between guests. The pillows and mattress are old and stained. The bathroom has black mold growing in the room and the shower is really dirty, I had to use my sandals. The room smelled so moldy especially with the AC on. The bed comes with one sheet, one pillow and no blanket. I wouldn’t mind so much but I spent $300 per night here and the room is a health risk. I would not stay here again and would steer friends away from here too.

First time there. I have stayed at several Ibis in the past but this one was worst. The floor was sticky, or dirty or cleaned with the wrong product. We used socks to not get our feet sticky. Bathroom had mold. Traveling with a small child this was terrible.

If you are traveling with your family go somewhere else. This hotel is not family friendly. The hotel is not soundproof and you will hear all night long people talking on the street. The only good experience we had was the breakfast, nice staff and good food.

Localização excelente. Quarto confortável, mas pela 2a vez seguida, com vazamento de água do box para o corredor do quarto. Anteriormente havia sido do box para o próprio banheiro. Se vc é membro ALL (Accor) não vale a pena reservar pelo hotéis.com, pois os benefícios não são mantidos, ainda que vc tenha sido fiel à rede. O gerente Edevaldo foi muito atencioso com os problemas relatados.

Offering good value, the Ibis Styles Botafogo is well located for both business and leisure travellers coming to Rio as it is located right next to the Botafogo metro which gives easy access to Copacabana, Ipanema, Leblon, and even Barra, and in the other direction the city centre, docks, Maracana, Stadium etc. The metro square has a good selection of bars and restaurants and close by is Botafogo Praia Shopping, one of Rio's better shopping centres. After a long summer season the property could do with a deep clean to spruce it up, but overall it ticks most of the boxes travellers on a budget want and demand.
