Premier Copacabana Hotel

Clean, convenient and professional

The staff were friendly but the hotel itself is incredibly dated. The AC was disturbingly loud, the mattress was springy, bathroom poorly ventilated and the hotel lacked comfort and style. However the location was good in terms of easy access to the beach and restaurants in the nearby area

The staff were great. Unfortunately my first room had no Wi-Fi so the manager was kind enough to move me to a different room the second day. He upgraded me because of the inconvenience. Unfortunately it was the same problem. It seemed like the entire building was struggling with the Wi-Fi. The beds were rockhard. I would suggest to the cleaning staff to clean under the beds. But overall, I was happy. If the Wi-Fi would’ve worked, I would’ve called it. Excellent value for the money. If you stay here, you have to go get the filet mignon from the restaurant. If you ask for it medium rare, they make it perfect. I spent almost 2 months in Brazil and that steak both times I got it was in the top five steaks I’ve had ever in my life.

Our only issues were that the second floor was subject to street noise and that the room keys were not working properly. We loved the breakfast and the view from the rooftop

Every time I come t Rio I stay at this hotel, Not only it is conveniently located (3 blocks from Copacabana beach and a metro (subway) station right across from it), the eatery options are almost endless. Staff is great and of course the free breakfast is good. Room rates at great value allows you too keep more of your money to spend shopping.

The hotel is in a poor condition, small and aged, nore like a motel. Location is great!

There was a cockroach at reception when we checked in. Charged me $5 canadian for bag of ice .

Overall it was a fantastic stay during Carnaval week. The staff was friendly and helpful and breakfast everyday was good! The biggest takeaway was the location. It was very centrally located and the area surrounding was very safe. You could be at Copacabana beach within 10 mins walking and on the way, you’ll pass many good restaurants, supermarket and bars. The rooftop pool was nice but depending on the occupancy of the hotel, it could get dirty quickly. The fitness center and elevator could use updating but those are minor things that wouldn’t deter me from returning! Definitely looking forward to staying again at Premier Copacabana!

This is a hotel that probably felt very modern some 30 years ago. While they’re in the process of updating their elevator, the new ones also feel old. If that was the extent of it, that’d be fine as some people may enjoy the retro. However, for most of our stay none of the guest elevators and all guests had to resort to the cargo elevator, making it unpleasant and inconvenient as long lines of people waited to be crammed in that box. On top of that, the linens on our bedroom were frayed and the safe was broken. The room also wasn’t very comfortable, with a spring mattress, bad pillows and a tiny shower head. The included breakfast was also a sad array in a very crammed dining room. While the price for this hotel is in average with others in Copacabana, I would highly recommend against it as I don’t feel I got my money’s worth. On the positive side, this is really close to subway and in a less busy street within Copacabana, so in the quieter side compared to some other options.

Staff is great and the place is well kept. They also have a convenient late check out option that most other hotels would not offer.

The Premier Copacabana is my go-to hotel when I am in Rio. It is perfectly located near shops, the metro, restaurants and the beach. The staff and the front desk personnel are phenomenal, plus, they are willing to help in any way possible. The breakfast selections are very good, while the waiters in the hotel restaurant are friendly and attentive.

Friends in apartment across the street. Very convenient location. I enjoyed the morning breakfast. One complaint - air conditioning in room VERY loud, but it did cool the room sufficiently.

Premier Copacabana is an excellent hotel. The location is conveniently across the street from the METRO. The room was clean. The breakfast was good. The staff was helpful. The only minor issues with my room (#506) were the middle window's latch was loose. It had 2 phillips set screws that need to be tightened. The shower door didn't fully close so the 2 door hinges should be replaced. I will stay there again the next time I visit Rio.

The hotel offers good WiFi and bathrooms. The AC was also great, which I really liked. My only complaint was the rude behavior of the “manager.” I thought he was the main security guard because of his attitude. Usually, managers want to ensure a pleasant stay for their guests, but this wasn’t the case. Additionally, the elevators were out of order for half of the time. Despite these issues, I would still recommend the hotel. Just skip the manager with the gray suit.

Absolutely perfect location! Staff were so friendly and helpful and went above and beyond!!!! Loved it!!
